I want to buy a second LGT just so I can build a motor without worrying about effing it up!

you could just get another motor and make an engine test stand run it on the stand and potentially dyno it also, then put it in at your convenience

Now that's thinking out of the boxer!

fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader

Look for a SpecB, I got lucky when my wagon decided it wanted some down time. I found the Spec that night. Fate...

Good Luck JB

Wow, just wow! I just read through this whole thread and I think we need to start a group or something titled college kids who built their motors. I've been through this whole experience too and you did one hell of a job man way to go and way to stick with it. You will be rewarded the first time that you really get to open it up. In case youre interested here is my build thread.

sweet jesus, i remember the first phone call, im glad to see you are getting it back on the road! Turning something from a paper weight to a great running car, you should be smiling with the amount of time and sweat you have put into it! Making the best of a bad situation! looking forward to seeing it running, send me some sweet vids. hope all is well

Are you taking about the hose that goes into the head cover?

The smaller diameter one tees together with the other one on the other head and together they go into the turbo inlet. They do not need clamps because they never see positive pressure.

My buddy brought over his sony bloggy hd cam for me to use tomorrow on first start up. Played with it a little tonite to see how good it was, video quality isnt that good but sound quality is a lot better then i thought itd be. Heres a short vid of the current status of the car. Got a few things to wrap up and organize and waiting on my accessory belts, AEM Boost and Oil pressure gauges then she should be ready to fire up.

I was wondering if anyone would mention that. I was litterally breathing like normal... i have another video where i had my stereo on in the garage and it was very quiet, video it sounds like its full blast. Which i suppose is good for what i want it for.

Im looking for where the grounds in the engine bay go on the drivers side. You should be able to see where they are by simply removing the engine cover. I think they ground to the very back on the top of the drivers side head but would like confirmation on that. If anyone can look at their car and let me know id apprciate it. The wires come out of the main wire run with the injectors and the grounds are square ground rings. Any help would be great.

Unfortunantly i didnt get to turn the key today, missed a signature required delivery so the new start day is tomorrow. I finished up everything i could today but have a bit of work to do tomorrow. Since i really couldnt do much so i went ahead and bought a roll of tint and did my front windows to match the rears. Came out very well for my first time, but quality tint makes it easy. Tint is 20% llumar for those wondering.
