Legacy Wagon
^^ Nice car How much did you pay for your roof racks and what brand are they?
ricearu
Thanks! i got them free from a friend who bought them for a NM to TX excursion and had no need for them after that. they are a no name from auto-zone and cost him $20 for the pair. I had to bend the ultra hard steel clips so it would not come off the drip rail covers. I want a yakima, because they bolt on. these have nylon straps... Legacy Wagon
Yakima are expensive. Those are more in my price range haha I want to see if Autozone still has them. Are they vehicle specific?
ricearu
no not vehicle specific. they look like the top bar is too wide because the tubes have 3 holes in them for "roof width adjustment" 1st gen lego needs them all the way to the middle, its where mine is set. appearently 1984 volvo's need them all the way out, which is were they were lol. ricearu
they came from my best friend and he said $20, so i guess they were on sale up there cause here they are on autozone's site http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Highland-44-to-60-in-width-universal-black-telescopic-bar-carrier-for-compact-through-full-size-cars-vans-and-SUVs/_/N-268z?itemIdentifier=78145&_requestid=854389 no mpg difference but you better zip tie the straps including what you don't use. it will flap in the breeze and drive you crazy. also a small amount of black tape over the unused holes for the stands is in order too, it sounded like seals were doin the nasty on my roof till i taped them over... Legacy Wagon
Shame that they're $45 here then. I guess I'll start checking Craigslist. Thanks dude!
05LGTLtd
Check frequently at goodwill or salvation army. I lucked into a set of ski rail racks for like $5 when I was a poor college student driving my 83 GL wagon. I was in a good mood for like a week when that happened. All I need now is a hill holder and a center passing light...

NickTej22
WELL... I've been busy for a while now. got rid of the Legacy brighton wagone:( the heads were going on it... So I went and bought a Legacy L wagon:) way more features like hill assist(stupid) abs(stupid) power windows, moon roof, roof racks, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters! Heres a pic of it, I pair 600 and it needs less work then my brighton..http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/267789_10150734775075228_625470227_19463321_7273979_n.jpg
Legacy Wagon
Yeah, that makes sense. I guess his fenders wouldnt be busted up like that unless they were plastic haha I just made a quick glance at it during lunch break. Nice Happy for you dude. Also, I like ABS. I dont have it on my Legacy, but I do on the RS and it's much nicer for daily driving

Legacy Wagon
^^ Sweet! Did you build your own cage? I like the stripped interior with the 98 STi / 22b wheel. Those are some sweet Sparco's too. Man...that thing looks like fun
aim
Thanks! Haha, no, paid for the cage - I'm not an accomplished welder and wanted it done right. Only thing we didn't do ourselves though! It also has complete 98 STi running gear. http://i.imgur.com/vEe9yl.jpg
Legacy Wagon
http://i.imgur.com/8lwMJ.jpg Saw this and thought it may have been you haha I can see that. Looks good with the 98 Goldies too.
