Baddog
Was hoping to get a Rallitek RSB Friday but they are going to be out for 2 weeks. Been waiting 2 weeks as it is. So I am curious about other options. Anyone have any? I don't want to over pay for a Whiteline RSB (unless they are close to $160 with new endlinks + bushings like Ralitek has) Anyone have a suggestion? Baddog
Got some "04 STI Springs today" The short ones have a green dot on them and the long ones have a purple dot. I thought all 04 sti springs had purple dots. So what is the green dots from?
richondo
i have a pink and green dot in the front and yellow and purple in the rear
Baddog
I just did some research. It seems I do have the proper springs. Purple in the rear and green in the front.
richondo
do you just have those colors or others? i have purple and green also
Baddog
Seemed like one dot on each strut. 2 purple 2 green total. Maybe there is more I should try and clean them up.

Baddog
2 Purple dots on the fronts 2 Green dots on the rears. I think the 04 WRX struts are too underdampend for the STI spring it almost feels softer.

Baddog
Rallitek quit making the RSB for our cars. The demand wasn't there they claimed. Awesome. I WILL NOT pay the price Whiteline wants for their bars.
reconstruct
Would aftermarket sti springs still work on our cars? Im looking at the 04-07 sti megan racing springs from ebay for my 98 legacy gt ltd, with 04-07 sti rear top hats and stock 98 leg struts?...thx for any input guys! fwa2500
yes, with the sti top hats, but that would feel like shit. i would HIGHLY recommend getting STi struts (or at the very least WRX struts) too.
Baddog
I put 04 STI springs on my 04 WRX struts. It seems fine. It really could use some more dampning in the WRX struts but it's not too bad.
Rallybrothers
Picked up some 04 sti springs with 50k on them Now I need to get either 04 sti struts or because I'm becoming impatient a set of KYB-GR2's. Does anybody know how much rear top-hats are going for?
Baddog
Go to the junkyard and get 93-01 Impreza top hats. If I remember right that is what you need. My rear top hats are 06 WRX top hats though. I am running 04 STI springs on 04 WRX struts.
fwa2500
first gen impreza rear top hats WILL NOT work on our second gen legos, the bolt patterns are different. as for the price on the top hats, no idea, somewhere in the $50-100 range used. just keep your eyes on the classifieds on nasioc and your local forums

Does anybody know how much rear top-hats are going for? dont waste your money on kybs or the cluck happy sti struts. i have and would recommend tokico hps (blues). they work great with sti springs. Also, you can use you stock front hats, just need to get the rears. Also, if you decide to run any rear stuts made for the 02-03wrx (ie: blues and maybe kybs) with 04-07 tophats, you need scooby spacers which can be found on fastwrx.com. Zues Marine
no, paranoidfabrications has better spacers

JAC Wagon
So what ARE the stock spring rates for 2nd gen leggys?
Baddog
If I remember right the RS spring are in the low 100's Front and Rear. So 2nd gen Legacys are gonna be a little lower then that. So not very stiff by any means
Lookatmyrust
gotta have them stiff.
JAC Wagon
Ok, cause the racelands are like 400ish front and 220 rear
