ArcTec34
I recently used a website that scans junkyards all over the country for used parts. Picked up a tail-light ass'y for $75 with free shipping (list was $139, mail-order new for $99). I had to talk 'em down (once someone with the part emailed me) by quoting these new prices. I THINK the site was: http://www.uneedapart.com ... Also, you said the dealer charges $50. Have you tried one of the several excellent mail-order parts places that many here use ? I never buy from my local dealer; they are invariably much more expensive, and they act like jerks - screw 'em. sir, can you check exactly where you got your extra tail? I need a set.. :-p
RustyShackleford
sir, can you check exactly where you got your extra tail? I need a set.. :-p Well, it was a place in Maspeth NY called Accurate Auto. But I got the pax-side one, so I doubt they have another ...

RAyala
Arc They send me 48LED amt array instead of the 25 LED They said that it's the same only thing is that the diobes are bigger on the 25 LED Do you think it will still fit or should I change them? RAyala
Arc I got it to fit by using the same mod you used for the 36 LEDs. Its looks great only thing i cant center it like yours. I mean it still looks good but it still bothers me. Any suggestion?

RAyala
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b362/bigcityballa65/Dome.jpg I want to it to be centered or at least look strait. I tried but because there is nothing really holding it up but the plastic it seems to move.
dv8ingvector
Some foam and or a pice of card board would probably straighten you out?
ArcTec34
Some foam and or a pice of card board would probably straighten you out? yeah, thats what I have, and some other members have the same thing too, put some foam behind it so that when you pop the lid on its snug, and it won't move sideways like that
TSiWRX
One piece of electrical tape did the job for me. Since mine's red, I can't even see the tape inside! <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

TSiWRX
^ Hey, I never denied I was a big RiceBoy! I thought that the red would be nice, to not be so harsh on Anna, if I ever tripped the dome during longer drives. Unfortunately, the LEDs are so friggin' bright that they "burn through" your eyelids, anyway. Doh! I'm actually thinking of putting in a secondary red-colored filter, to further dim that light. My front map-lights are still the factory bulbs. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Its pretty cool being that I have lemo tints on my back windows when i see cops all i have to do is turn on my lights and they see everything inside. Heres some pic of my LED conversion. I found a piece of cardboard. did my best to center it. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b362/bigcityballa65/DSC00235.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b362/bigcityballa65/map2.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b362/bigcityballa65/Door.jpghttp:// Also changed my plate lights ill post that picture up later Now what to do next.... They just use an integrated foam backed plastic frame with double sided tape to position them gust right and stop movement. I was thinking you could fab something similar on the cheep, paint it and no one would know. Did you make a frame for yours or just use the backing to stop the movement? I might do something for my brothers when i am board?
TSiWRX
^ Exactly Just trace the outline of the dome light lid, center a square of the appropriate size within, and voila, you've got the same kind of "frame." <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
ArcTec34
I didn't need to make any type of frame, and for the LED module in there, I don't even need anything behind it- it just fits. its the 36 LED board, I have to bend up the connections to go above the light, and this fits perfectly below it. and yes, all the LEDs are very bright, but I find them to be just right
