.Catalyst.
SEM Charcoal Grey Metallic Trim paint matches. I'm actually painting my '06 all chrome housings with it right now. My spec.B [#163] Project Thread with Pictures Get CryoTuned!
scoobycoupe
I wonder how Plastidip would hold up in the housings. Either way I was planning on doing OBP to match the exterior paint, should look nicee
.Catalyst.
I wouldn't risk the dip in the headlights. It doesn't hold up to heat too well. I did the mesh in my original engine cover with red dip once and it peeled back within a day and shrunk a bit. My spec.B [#163] Project Thread with Pictures Get CryoTuned! smashcrunk
I don't currently have any pictures. But I got a video on youtube of my headlight mods if anyones curious. [ame= ] [/ame] -Headlight housing is custom painted black -HID conversion (6000 k bulbs) -LED strip (3 of the lights on the strip have stopped lighting up unfortunately) -Clear turn signal bulbs (although they still look yellowish) -Amber reflector delete

dhoppe0510
There really isnt room for these DRL's on the 5th gen legacies that dont already have fog lamps installed is there? http://www.carid.com/universal-lighting/led-daytime-running-lights-326562.html. scoobycoupe
very nice looking ndmx52. Did you have any problems separating the lenses, did you bake or heat gun them? Use any extra sealant or just reheat what was left on there? I will be doing this soon I have all the parts sitting around but I have to get the clutch/tbelt in my Impreza so I can drive it if I do not finish this in one weekend. ndmx52
No problem opening them. Oven at 280 for 9-10 minutes. Then to seal them up I didn't add any sealant (since it was the first time I opened the set). Just 280 for 7 minutes, then used clamps to keep pressure while they cooled. I can't attest to whether or not I kept the moisture out at this point, but I'm pretty sure they will be just fine. Added a silica gel packet double side taped to each one just to be on the safe side to soak up any possible moisture.
smashcrunk
I finally refined my headlights. Nothing major cosmetically from the video i posted a couple weeks ago. Couple questions for you: Are those the stage 1 or 2 bulbs? Also, do you have any idea if an LED flasher module be used with LEDs in the front and standard bulbs in the back, or should do I have to get their resistor kit? testa422
if you replace your oem flasher module with an "led flasher module" you can mix and match led and incandescent bulbs as you wish. it will work with any and all
.Catalyst.
I use a CF18 flasher module for my stage 2 switchbacks in the front and standard incandescent tails. I'm going with the Tap-a-Turn module though - I still have a delay flash when locking/unlocking via the fob. My spec.B [#163] Project Thread with Pictures Get CryoTuned! Do you think the Stage 2's are worth the extra money? I like the level of brightness in Smashcrunk's video. If the Stage 1's are dimmer than that I'd be disappointed. Got it from Wolstentech. 1.5 second delay for the halos to turn on when the car starts and 4 second delay to turn off once the car is turned off. They are adjustable so I can change the timing how I like. For now its just what I wanted.
