i know that my DB LC-1 gauge fits differently than my X-line. i think being able to sand them down as you need is really the way to go, because you want the gauges to fit snug.

OTM.

Sorry I didn't mean to start a war which mainly forum people is all about ;).

I used an oil galley plug I picked up from IAG.

This thread was usefull

A crows foot wrench will make the job MUCH easier.

The easiest way to get thru the firewall is to use the gromet pictured below. (The TMIC has already been removed in this pic)

You should have easy access to this from the inside by putting your ear aginst the floor and looking above the gas pedal

Expect to see a more complete walkthru from me on Monday

The paint on mine is pretty thin and needs to be touched up.

Can you provide the paint code or who your supplier is.

ETA: maybe I'll just paint it black. It really stands out right now.

Yeah I dropped mine and some of the paint came off. Could you give us the code?

I am thinking that painting these tan is not the way to go. I currently apply 4 coats of the tan paint to these. I was afraid that if I went any more the paint would be too thick. The paint that I used is called "Pescadero Sand" #15283 by SEM.

tan does not look bad if the correct color is used. to me the black would look just as out of place as the pillar pod, unless you take all the interior trim pieces off and have them painted black as well. ie. up to the point to the pillars.

OTM.

I had Jason make a 1 pod A-pillar and it came out fantastic. I just put my boost gauge in and everything fit perfect. The pillar itself and the hole for the gauge were spot on. Just wanted to leave the great feedback. Good service and I can't say enough about the craftsmanship. I had him leave it black and with the black interior it looks great. I kinda wish all the pillars were black :)

How much was a 1 pod a-pillar? I would definitely be interested in one of those...

Here are a few pics. I now realize that photography is not my strong suit. IMO I think the 1 pod looks really good. 2 or 3 pods would be too much. I wish I had taken a picture of my ghetto setup before I got the pillar  In the second picture I tried to show how well the part fit with the headliner.

I'm not done with the install so the gauges aren't pushed all the way in.

I hope to finish tomorrow and will post a complete review/write-up shortly thereafter.

that looks awesome...how easy it to see these with 3 gauges?
