Jim_KT
Here's my unimpressive and messy 5eat stg1 dyno plot. The blue is the Cobb ACN91 map and the red is another map:

Infamous1
man, how are you making less power than me and i'm stock? You have a 5MT, the 5EAT doesn't present the power output well on a dyno. There also is more drivetrain loss through the auto trans.
mikeyan
cause the 5EAT sucks on the dyno . Performs much better on the street Mike SoCal Duck Hunters Club - Unit
SnowBound BP5
Oh hell! Will post your dyno sheet it the turbo powertrains, I feel some more heated arguments. That is far more than any stock spec B has dynoed, I'd like to shut Vimy up. Apparently Paul nicknamed my BP the "factory freak"! When I saw my first run I was like, "I'm calling bullshit!" I was expecting maybe 207.
Jim_KT
cause the 5EAT sucks on the dyno . Performs much better on the street Mike If you don't mind me asking, why is that?

mikeyan
auto drivetrain loss and the load aspect of dynos really f's with the auto/torque converter.... comparing other data factors, 5eats are faster than the dyno charts suggest SoCal Duck Hunters Club - Unit
Jim_KT
Infamous1 and mikyan, thanks for the information and heads up. In other words, I have some work to do on my car.

mikeyan
MT, no? SoCal Duck Hunters Club - Unit
Boostjunkie
and it was 100º+ Temp doesn't mean anything since we almost always run the dyno with SAE correction on, which means that (amongst other factors) temperature is corrected for. You just have a well tuned and strong running car.
Boostjunkie
MT, no? Mr. Cakes car is a 5MT IIRC. So that is really not applicable to the discussion of 5EAT dyno numbers. 240whp/250wtq is about average to just slightly above average for a Stage 1 5MT LGT. underscore
hm, I didn't know Stage 1 increased power that much.. can't wait for the APs to come out for 07-08 (I know there are other options, but this is easier)
