You'll have to paint them yourself, but i picked up a rattle can from a good paint shop in the area for under $20 and they came out a 90-95% match... which I can live with. I need to snap some high res pics for you guys... sorry, I've been slackin. SirRiceAlot - the lip is dead sexy! can't wait for mine to get here! what color/brand of paint did you use? SirRiceAlot Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 The body shop used QSM paint they mixed when redoing my door on it...perfect color match, it just looks weird sometimes because of the way the light is hitting it but when it isn't affected by weird lighting its a perfect color match. I need to touch up the mesh so i might swap the subaru emblem back on it then. About the grill... im gonna touch up the paint on the mesh real quick today and might possible switch the center emblem back to stock... any tips for pulling the Subaru emblem off of my stocker without wrecking it? aaronlee0821 Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 use the blowdryer... wrap a flathead screwdriver with a thin piece of cloth so you dont scratch the emblem. once it starts getting nice and heated up, you can slightly move the emblem around, that means the silicone is starting to get nice and toasted.. using the flathead, slowly start prying it in a circle around the perimeter of the emblem. it'll take A LOT of patience, but it'll eventually come off. BigInALegacy Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Thx... after ALOT of patience, I finally got it. Hairdryer, and a few of those fake credit cards that come in the mail. Heated it up enough to put a little pressure on the back posts, then stuck a card in between the gap and rocked it back and forth cutting that silicone. A little pressure and it eventually came off. As for the result... I didn't reuse the chrome ring on the emblem for now... might switch that up later. Looks real clean and nice he has the JDM Standard 2.0i/2.0GT Front Bumper Garnish - if that is how they call it. it should be just a bit too short on the sides due to the USDM bumper being longer. but overall, it looks quite good on his car. props!
