whobaru
That soundtrack sucks, but yes, I get the idea on how it's capable of cornering. The o rly was for your rsv1,000 having a hard time getting by him on the 170 straight. Seems like you'd blow right by that bike.
biz77
Nope, up to about 150 I struggled to get around him. Keep in mind even with race cans, ECU reprogramming etc, the Aprilia only made high 120's to the rear tire; about what a stock GSXR750 is capable of. scooby600
Heres the new bike 07 ZX6R, only has Galfer SS lines and scotts damper right now. Looking to get track bodywork soon and installing the frame sliders. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h179/kandrei3000/_JON7179.jpg Here is my KTM 450 SMR. It is all stripped down now because it is going to be rebuilt soon, hopefully. It has all the KTM hardparts pretty much except the slipper clutch. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h179/kandrei3000/CIMG0956.jpg Lastly, here is my new pitbike to replace the one that got stolen (picture a couple of posts up). It is an SSR 125 X3. It has a high comp piston, 24mm intake runner, G2 cam, oil cooler, and polish. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h179/kandrei3000/CIMG0954.jpg

Looking to get track bodywork soon and installing the frame sliders. Great bike! I rode one (school bike) at Laguna Seca last year at a Kieth Code Superbike School. It had 3 miles on the OD when I first threw a leg over it that morning... it definitely got broken in hard!! Great power delivery and unbelievable brakes. They had put the '06 race fairings on them as the '07 bodywork wasn't available yet, and it was touching down in all the left corners... drove me crazy! scooby600
The Keith Code school must have been awesome, I want to do the Cornerspeed school since it teaches trail braking. I'm still learning a lot but having a lot of fun. I can't wait to get a full exhaust since the stock one weighs like 30 lbs. But I agree about the brakes, I was surprised how great they felt. I installed the ss lines with 25 miles so I really don't know if it would have faded but it feels great now.
rodan
If you're interested in racing, I highly recommend Code's school. I've been three times to the Superbike school, and twice to Reg Pridmore's Class school. Code's is definitely more focused toward the racing side of riding, while Reg's school is more relaxed, less regimented and focused more toward "recreational" street riding. Code's school focuses on corner speed, and surprisingly spends very little time on braking until you get to the higher levels. You can get a lot out of reading his books if you spend time on the track working on some of the skills detailed therein. Any kind of school will benefit your riding in ways you won't even realize until you've been. We all have bad little habits that slow us down! Garandman
+1... they're [Honda CB750] getting hard to find in nice shape... and that one looks nice. Total dinosaur by modern standards, but still very cool... I had a Suzuki GS750 like the one shown and back then this was considered a "big" bike. It had wire wheels and one disc front and one back. They were much over engineered and many run well today, although're often well beat up. Water cooling was rare and fuel injection practically unheard of. The Suzuki was a good balance of power and handling. It had some innovations like needle bearings for the swing arm. Now everyone thinks they need large displacement and a lot of the cruisers like the HD's and clones weigh over 700 lbs dry.
