bosco
Damn...http://www.allshocks.com is dirt cheap! Front Top Hat part number is: 20320AG000 and the dust cap for these top hats is: 20326AG000 available at any U.S./Canadian Subaru dealer. Rear USDM top hats work fine... what are the part numbers for the pinks? i don't know if there are different models or spring weights. thanks bosco Stay Stock Stay Happy
Opie
Pinks aren't "officially" available in the U.S. for the Legacy...I can't look those up but check here: http://www.thel7.com/Accessory%20Install%20Doc%27s/JDM%20STi%20Springs.pdf on Page # 2 there is a P/N listing... lucas569
ok, ok so what is the exact parts list if i want a pink/bilstein combo? anyone have side shots of pinks installed w/ bilsteins? EDIT: after many headaches heres what i gather for a pink setup: recipe = 1.jdm pinks 2.blistein shocks jdm or ones from allshock.com 3.jdm top hats or usdm spec b top hats (for the front only, can REUSE rear usdm?) anything else i need? this should lower my car by about a half inch at all four corners? this along w/ some good swaybars should yield a pretty nice handling LGT that isnt harsh around town? turbo2nr
Why not machine down the 20MM thick tophat to 7MM thick like the JDM tophats? I would rather machine the parts that are $100pr rather than $600pr! The top-hats are only $49.56/each from Liberty Subaru, including the bearing. Part #20320AG01A x 2 (2007 USDM Spec B) 1-888-suby-4wd Of course I ordered them. This will work!! AND not too expensive IMO. Give me a week, and pics will follow..... Struts and shocks...new from Germay....$550 or so. Springs (must be JDM!)....$350 Hats....$99 Install>done! Sell your stuff to an outback owner to lower his/her vehicle. fweasel
did you order the dust covers opie spoke about in post 50? bosco Bosco, I've got a set of front JDM tophat dust covers you can have if you end up installing these. They don't fit over my Tokicos. ignore him, he'll go away.
Waxiboy
I think it is even better that these struts are JDM spec because it will match with pink springs perfectly.

hifiandmtb
Only if dust bothers you! I could care less. They are not so much dust covers as moisture repellant caps Without them, over time pools of water form in that area which rusts the shock threads & looks just so unsightly
fweasel
fair enough. i'll probably use my tein h-tech's anyway like the drop and the ride. thoughts on this? bosco Pre-installation, your closest comparison on drop would be TRS's car... H-techs and Tokicos w/ JDM tophats. Springs are so easily changed, I would agree. Put on your existing H-techs, get a feel for how they ride and look and then you have a basis to switch to something else if necessary. ignore him, he'll go away. VTGT
So after all said and done the whole package could run from 850-1000 depending on springs. I guess The used ones from Japan are a better deal
