DocHolladay23
wow that's tight, those look like the same leds I used for my fogs. That was what I originally wanted to do but I was worried they'd melt, looks like they did ok tho! Are those the 38"/94 led strips? Edited November 4, 2008 by DocHolladay23 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! You want a shirt? Hit me up here!!!

I kinda wish I cut the 6 led's at the top rather than loop it but its a done deal now. 48 LED's and 48cm long. Edited November 5, 2008 by gershon Cuz I suck at typing! DocHolladay23
So where do you plug the strip of LED to? hardwired, my fogs are to a switch, his are to his parking lights [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? gershon
hardwired, my fogs are to a switch, his are to his parking lights And I do need to add a switch. I would like to use these as DTRL. Just for now they are connected to the parking lights. An odd side effect is that when I use my blinker the LED's will flash as well. Not on and off at the same time as the blinkers but exactally the oppisate. So when the yellow blinker blinks on the LED's will turn off and when the yellow turns off the LED's turn on. It looks kinda cool but definataly crosses the line of riced out.
gershon
More pics!! Ok! Here are a few more photo's. They are not to good "taken with iPhone" and I could not seem to get a shot without the glare. I am not going to lie but I did try to touch them up with photoshop. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/gershon23/sub-front-led-on1.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/gershon23/sub-front-led-on2.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/gershon23/to-the-side-led-on1.jpg I can say if I could go back and do it again I would definitely cut the strip shorter so the LED's would not round off at the top or maybe so they stop at the light bar in the middle. absolutsnwbrdr
looks pretty good... i do wonder how it would look if instead of cutting them short at the middle of the orange area you ran them straight back the middle of the "light bar", essentially splitting the parking light/turn signal in half. gershon
i really think im going to have to try this, if you have no objections No objections here. If you promise to try your idea out. I thought of that as well. My thought was to put some yellow film around it in the portion that was under the clear light bar and eliminating the yellow parking light and just having a yellow single filament turn signal. I'll post up some pics in 7-14 business days (depending on when the lights get here) Same here except I ordered mine 2 days ago I'll probably cut mine so they stop at the orange, so if you do yours as cutting the turn in half we'll have 3 good variations to go on [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? absolutsnwbrdr
As I just posted in Doc's Led thread, mine are in and working! I tied them into the parking lights, but did not get the blinking effect that Gershon was talking about Doc I mine look just like yours... I decided that for now, I would not worry about the going back the middle of the orange. I may save that for a later project and actually use a short orange led strip. We shall see! Anyway.. pics to come later, as my cam batteries are dead:(
