I came from an underpowered but fun 92 325i. We started to need a bigger car, and we always liked wagons. The only other wagon we could afford was the mazda 6 and it has wrong wheel drive so here I am. :icon_twis

03 VW GTI 20th anniv. with some mods...fun car!

thats weird, 3 people have switched from the 20th anniversary, including me, but when i had it, i only saw one on the road, and it was some old guy from Chicago, tried to get his attention and give the v dub sign, but he wouldn't even acknowledge me

I had a grand Prix GTP. For a GM "POS" it was great. Never any problems actually less issues then the LGT. Since the LGT stuttered like a B*#@ until I did the TDC tune. Ran mid 13.5 before I sold it, on a cold day it would have been low 13's but I sold it before it got cold again. Only problem was it was automatic and Front wheel drive and 120k miles. Then again I would rather have the GTP with FWD then the LGT once I realized how hard it is to launch these cars. Don't regret having either car. Stick is fun:icon_bigg

'94 Camry LE, aka,the appliance. Never took any pictures...I wonder why. Oh yeah, it still sits in the driveway and my stepdaughter uses it when she NEEDS to, not when she wants to. 141,000 miles and hopefully it lasts her through college. And...no regrets...imagine that.
It is still ugly.

Maybe they are embarassed to admit it?

The a4 is a much better comp to an LGT than a 3 series is imho. AWD, etc. etc. There do seem to be a good number of A4, S4, guys on here. Plus, Audi sells alot more wagons than BMW does.

Yup, Yup, and Yup. good points.

I don't see why anyone would be embarrassed to admit it.

Buying a VAG car is like actually having a VAG that the dealers get to ****.

 Not sure what your experiences are, but most have had serious problems.

As I posted in another thread, I've not had any serious problems. However, I take it in every 6 mo for an oil change service, and now that my 98 A4 is 8 yrs old, every time I go in, there's some other niggling little thing that needs attention, so basically I budget $400 for sure for each service and pray nothing significant comes up. The car does still run very well. I just got some new rubber (225/45/17 Avon Tech M500 summer only) and an alignment, and I love the ride and handling all over again - it's better than my GT for sure. However, I am anxiously looking forward to putting the same size conti sport 2's on my GT and I think this will provide a big improvement. Pink springs are next on the list and I am really hoping that brings the car up to par with my A4 (sport pkg). Should be a little better with the slightly better weight dist.

I had a grand Prix GTP.

I had a '98 GTP sedan back in the day... First car I really modded. Magnuson snout w/ 3.4" pulley, Ram Air Tech Stage II throttle body, Ram Air Tech cat-back, phenolic spacer, Ram Air Tech springs, Ram Air Tech strut bars, etc. That was almost 10 years ago. :p

My last car before the spec.B was a 2004 STi.

So heres a poll for the conquest buyers - what did you drive B4 this, or what did you replace with your LGT.

If you replaced an old subaru (like I did) with your LGT, pls do not vote!

I'm curious to see if the conquest buyers are coming from, say A4's and 3 series or camry's and elantras.

Comments! You might mention your manual or auto pref - please do if your old car was a different transmission than your new one - but pls no transmission war - just the data!

I disagree with the exclusion of former Subaru owners. I think it would be interesting to see how they stack up against other owners. Besides, you could eliminate them manually from your poll but It would have been interested in seeing fromer Subaru owners included. :(

2002 Dodge Durango

GAS HOG!!!!!!

Sold it to my sister, she gave it to my nephew.

Funny part is I sold it 2 years ago because it was costing me too much in gas. Gas was under $2/gallon back then. I guess it's good I got rid of it though or I'd really be going broke on gas right now.

"Barack Obama, mothaf#%@a! Barack Obama! I'm the president...of hittin' the ass!" -this is not a political view it's merely a quote from a hilarious tv show.
