'00 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Got tired of fixing it, so I traded it in for an '06 Impreza 2.5i.

things I miss:

automatic headlights

stereo - best factory stereo I've ever had, even had a "subwoofer"

low end torque - but it had a weak top end

Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer.

Don't have a Legacy yet (been fiending for it since the '05s came out) but I'm driving a Honda Prelude currently.

Pic was taken after a fresh wreck. New hood and bumper. License plate modified of course. :)

(have a LegacyGT 07 test drive tomorrow - will probably get it)

No Subaru option? What happens if you are just upgrading your old scoob? :icon_wink

I can't believe how many posts in this thread ask this stupid question. If you read the first post, it says specifically that this thread is for conquest buyers, and please guys replacing a subaru dont vote.

I started this thread shortly after a previous thread on how many previous subarus you've had.

So, maybe read the first post again?

At this point, we have mostly conquests from Honda, the number of ex audi owners is going down - who thinks that this trend is over and we will see fewer and fewer audi owners opting for a GT?

I think that with the manual deleted from the wagon, that this will discourage european wagon buyers.

What about Mazda on the poll? I had a 91 Mazda Protege, and I was a little sad to see it go.

Only 10 options for polls, so no room for mazda.

Vote ford =)

I figured that mazda would be a small population - mazda people are pretty loyal (ok I'm biased I own a miata).

technically the legacy wagonia replaced my 94 accord coupe (manual) but i also recently sold my first born child....2002 m coupe :(

Two questions (both smartass)

1) So which car did you replace with your wagon?

2) Why the fark did you sell your m coupe - and not to me????

LOL

Hope you like your new car as much as the m (although that car was given the ugly treatment on the way out - too bad we didn't realize it was only the beginning for ugly bmws =\ )

So heres a poll for the conquest buyers - what did you drive B4 this, or what did you replace with your LGT.

If you replaced an old subaru (like I did) with your LGT, pls do not vote!

Here's my car history in reverse order

05 LGT LTD 5MT Wagon

02 WRX (Vishnu stage II)

00 2.5 RS

94 Mitsubishi Galant EX

89 Ford Probe GT . . .

So I guess my conquest car was the 94 Mitsubishi Galant, but that doesn't count cause i've had subies for a while

2003 VW Passat Wagon, too expensive to maintain after 4 year warranty expired.

Amen to that!!

I had a 99 Passat V6 before my OBXT. WAY too expensive to maintain, too unreliable, and the water pump went out in Moab a few years ago... A tow truck would have been $900 back to Denver, so I had rent a U-Haul and an auto transport. I'd had enough after that...the car was sold soon after. It sure was fun though; not as much fun as my OBXT, however.

Cheers.

Here's a pic of the unreliable beast (now has a black dot for 'Reliability' in Consumer Report's Used Car Guide):
