Old and flawed poll, but whatever. I replaced a 1983 Mercedes 300D turbodiesel w/ my 2005 LGT wagon. That car long predated the short-lived Daimler-Chrysler, so I checked "Nissan/Infinity" (sic for the misspelling of Infiniti) for my other car, a 1998 Nissan Frontier.

Funny, I just noticed this thread today. My 98GT replaced my Civic. My 00GT replaced the 98, my 05GT replaced the 00.

I don't think you can read the post until after you have voted?

Last car: 07 MazdaSpeed 6, 6MT. Blisteringly fast (275 HP), AWD, great gearbox, aggressive yet refined looks, reasonable MPG. I was sad to let it go: leased it & the residual was so high the payments were out of range.

Car before that wasn't bad, either:

02 Mercury Cougar, 5MT. Slick, reliable, hatchback utility, fast enough, looker, great MPG. Drove it until I took an educated guess that repairs were inevitable--but never had one problem with it the whole time. I loved it.

And now an OBP Legacy 2.5i! I've had great luck with fantastic autos.

Exactly the same

2006 VW GTI DSG (aka auto) transmission

Heh, I was a 6mt. I love the DSG Fart when they shift. It's a great sound. Not to mention kind of cool, lol. I miss that car every day. My next car is going to have to be a European vehicle again.

2006 Acura TL 6spd w/navi White Diamond Pearl... took it to the dealer 6 times in 6 months for different issues and service was horrible. one dealer didnt know what they were doing and another dealer had to fix everything they touched. also the closest dealer was 3 hours away.
