Finally...... been long overdue. Jdm hvac with bezel and hazard. Reused my old pioneer avic-5200 nex that used to be in my forester. Unable to connect it to the optional dealer sony screen in the back so i will be going to upgrade the unit to an alpine in the future. But this will do for now in the meantime while i save up.

Used a lot of wire/adaptors from that ae64 guy

Merry christmas. Brand new front brembo kit that i bought on black friday from fastwrx came along with the rear brembo adaptors and rotors and pads. Unfortunately i couldnt find a set of clean used brembos nor want to restore an old and beat up set from random ppl online becuz itll end up costing the same as buying new in total so i opted to buy a brand new front set. I found a used set of clean rear brembo calipers on yahoo japan and just waiting for me to click ship button. But next year project hopefully not too long of a wait.

Got some mach v braided brake and clutch lines too

Finally got the avoworld rear swaybar brackets installed. It needed modification like drilling and added spacer in order to fit. Also got the trans o-ring, sun dial, and passenger axle seals replaced.

Turns out the trans o-ring have been leaking quite a lot, half of the fluid was left when the shop flushed it out. Im guessing this mightve happened sometime in the last 5k miles since i had my oil changed, they didnt mention it. Before the flush, I noticed that it grinds a little when i go into 1-3 gears but not everytime. As a result there are metal shavings in the trans fluid and damage has been done. Fluid is almost 30k miles old and now it looks metallic and dirty. Shop said to just keep driving it for now and not to worry about it becuz whats done is done, its just concerning and be prepared is what they said. After flush I noticed that when the car/fluids is fully warmed up, there is no grinding feeling. The brake and clutch fluids are also dirty after 30k miles so ill get them flush too when i go in for brembo install. Guess ill have to inevitably swap to 6spd sometime in the future. I wanted to do that anyway but at the same time dont want to cuz of how much it costs but i think if i look for a 6spd from a spec b, it will make things more affordable and less tedious on changing the hubs to 5x114.3 as i want to avoid that. At least i have the motivation to do so now lol

Got the jxb performance driveshaft support bearing installed. Its a subtle difference but you can feel it.

Saw this and was hoping someone would post feedback. Looks like a nice upgrade. Not a bad price, either.

I couldnt find any install guides surprisingly on the jspeed fender braces but its pretty straight forward. The most tedious part is getting the fender off but i was able to manage to remove the fender without taking the bumper and headlight and fender liner all the way off. However, unfortunately even though it was stated that the brace that i got was for the BL legacy, it does not fit and will require cutting and drilling to fit becuz it is too long on the top part. The corner circle part also does not fit into any existing hole on the frame so its just free flowing if that makes sense. I dont think it will matter when the other part is screwed on cuz it will become tight enough for the back of it to just rest on the frame with no slack. Guess when i get my jdm bumpers and fenders painted, ill have the shop install the rest of it. For now the driver only have 1/2 part screwed on.

That's weird. Are there left and right sides? Are those listed for multiple wrx platforms?

The fender braces? Nah they were listed for legacies

That’s a bummer…weird though that it’s too long..unless it’s meant for a JDM legacy? Dunno why it’d be different. Good for you though for making it work. Think mine are STi? Haven’t tried to install them though…one of these days.🫤

You don’t need a 5x114.5 hubs to utilize an sti 6mt.
