  1. So got my lazy butt into gear and swapped out the factory rear sway bar for my solid aftermarket one. I'm not 100% certain what brand it is as so much paint had worn off it but it looked very much like Cusco blue. Had it powder coated in a nice dark grey and finally fitted it. I just love this modification, was amazing on my Gen 3 and just as good on the GT. Just so much more pleasurable to drive, feels lighter and more alive and just glides in and out of corners. Next up suspension wise will be bracing and bushes I guess.
  2. Solid rear sway bar put in. Sooo happy, car is starting to feel like my old Gen 3 twin turbo used to. Pretty sure it is a Cusco bar but so much paint had come off I couldn't be 100%. Anyway, far more responsive and pleasurable to drive
  3. So after lots (like a LOT of waiting) as I decided on what I wanted to do and the path I was going down I finally got this done. AVO turbo to I/C hose and I/C to TB hose. Let say first off that it was a s**t of a job, especially as the body was tired from gym, it was bloody hot and high humidity. I ended up needing my neighbours assistance because I just couldn't get the I/C back on and hoses kept slipping off and I was at my limit physically and mentally. Anyway, they're on and I'm relieved. on the plus I have set the theme for the engine bay with a red and gold theme which I think will contrast nicely with diamond grey. Anyway, no one wants to read my blabbering on, we want photos right?! So see below
  4. Nah, it's the twin exit bumper but I plan on getting a mate of mine make up a blanking plate for the other side. Not so much subie rumble sadly. Mines twin scroll so loses the rumble but still better than dead silent like it was
  5. Genuine JDM Fujitsubo Giken muffler on 3in axle back (at this time). Going to take some getting used to after no exhaust noise for the last few months. Looks pretty enough though
  6. Been a while since posting, trying to save for upcoming holiday. However, got this done today....
  7. Fujitsubo Giken Muffler installed today. Still getting used to having exhaust sound again after having none lol Looks pretty though
  8. So finally have my grill back and on. Been wanting to do this since first taking ownership of the car back in September. I feel it changes her up quite a bit
  9. Lol nice call, yup, suits my name lol I guess it's more an old school thing too (which I am lol) with the angled up single exit. But I'm the same as you, I don't want to look the same as everyone else
  10. I have a HKS Hi Power muffler and I'm getting a mate to start doing a 3in stainless system for me. Would love to buy your Cobb one but shipping to New Zealand might be a little pricey lol
  11. Sounds good man! I'm looking forward to getting mine done in the next month or so
  12. Yeah, were actually really lucky in New Zealand in more ways than I appreciated until recently. We only get JDM Spec out here and JDM parts are the norm. We have a company here called pick a part that is full of wrecks of different brands and models. I went in one day and found Zerosports brake lines on a wrecked Legacy. Would have been cheap too if I had grabbed them. We also don't get heavy snow or even white winters at all so no salt on roads, no rusted out suspension components. And I totally agree, they are very underrated as a performance car although we are starting to see people starting to work on them down here now. My 2.0 GT is by far faster and more responsive (even as an auto) than my twin turbo manual ever was
  13. I'm actually really grateful for guys like yourselves. BL/BP Legacy's are just starting to become popular in NZ as the prices are relatively good for what is a very tuneable car. Previously they were out of reach. Thanks to my American brothers I am learning a lot on what I can do to mine so thanks for sharing your build!
  14. Hey bro! Thank you! Our roads aren't great tbh. Even in our big cities there are a lot of pot holes. The bushings is just a kind of 'I want to overhaul everything and get the best out of it I can' lol I had Nolathane bushings throughout my Gen 3 Legacy and the whole system felt pretty tight.
  15. I can't find photos of the K2 guards anywhere! Didn't even know they did them tbh lol
  16. Haven't done anything per se but but did purchase the AVO intercooler to throttle body hose. The to do list is getting big while I wait for things to happen: custom grill needs paint, awaiting fresh powder coat on Cusco rear sway bar, awaiting AVO hose to arrive, awaiting park light bulbs to arrive....
  17. Chucked the Nolathane rear sway bar bushes from the BE5 into her today as direct swap over. Do love Nolathanes red bushing colour
  18. I'll be interested to see those DAMD guards on, umming and ahhing over them myself
  19. Deeply disappointed, the bulbs I needed were hb4 my bad. Still at least I know for next time. Can't wait for the public holidays to be done and dusted to start buying parts again. Need to get some HD rear sway bar links and I think I'll invest in the Cusco sway bar brackets just to keep everything strong
