Dishwasher Posted April 11, 2019 Share Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) There was actually a court ruling on this In the United States, a court in Boston, Massachusetts ruled in 2006 that a sandwich includes at least two slices of bread[1] and "under this definition, this court finds that the term 'sandwich' is not commonly understood to include burritos, tacos, and quesadillas, which are typically made with a single tortilla and stuffed with a choice filling of meat, rice, and beans."[17] The issue stemmed from the question of whether a restaurant that sold burritos could move into a shopping centre where another restaurant had a no-compete clause in its lease prohibiting other "sandwich" shops. So is a sub sandwich not a real sandwich then? So an open faced sandwich is not a sandwich? Honestly if I were to place my own opinions on the chart, I would be considered a Radical Sandwich Anarchists. You don't get to dictate to me what a sandwich is man, Poptarts are sandwiches, wraps are sandwiches, and so are chalupas. Wraps(fist wrap in 1980s in CA, USA) evolved from burritos(first in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1910s), which evolved from tacos(first in Ensenada, Mexico in 1500s).
