vpdjc
I have 19x8.5 45et, perfect clearance. 45et is probably the lowest I would go on 8.5. Look for my posts in the thread for reference.

Bnguyen
looking at these they are 18x8 with 40mm offset is that too low of an offset? stock wheels are 55 am I pushing it? http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelDetail.do?c=5&rcz=55318&rc=MNMINT&dVeh=dVeh&bp=&fl=&tc=KONDEC&yr=2015&pc=63349&wd=18&rw=&vid=029794 http://www.discounttire.com/product/wheels/t_20110627.kondec.bkmtbb.xl.jpg Edited May 26, 2016 by Bnguyen
tigger73
Have a look back at the start of this thread as there are a lot of wheels/offsets posted up with pics. The 18x8 ET40 would be very close to being a flush fit. You only have to measure out 15mm from stock wheels to work out where they are going to sit. tigger73
I don't think these have been done on a gen6. Personally if I were going down this path I'd be going 19's as this design makes the wheel look smaller than it actually is. There's a lot of rim and not a lot of spoke in the RPF1 design. Right, if I got RPF1's I will want 19's. What would be the widest I could go while getting the best performance traction but not too much bite into the road where I will be sacrificing mpg. I want toyo tires, top choice is R888's or T1R's. What is one step closer to grip(6/10) vs. closer to better mpg's (4/10). 255? 265? 275? Or how wide would the rim be.. tigger73
I'm running 18x8.5 and have 245/45R18 tyres. Personally I have found with the extra width and better rubber (Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2's) there's a big step up in grip. It's going to depend on what is available in the rim design that you're looking at. You could go 19x9 ET45-50 and run something like 255/40R19's. I don't think with the power in the Legacy 2.5 that you'll be breaking traction... tigger73
Recommendations on rim widths/tyre sizes: http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/tyre-size-for-rim-size-width-calculator 7.5": 215-225 8.0": 225-235 8.5": 235-245 9.0": 245-255 You can go one size larger/smaller on above, however you will end up with the sidewall either being stretched or a slightly bulge Edited May 31, 2016 by tigger73 Tigger73's MY15 2.5i build

vpdjc
I think the height would be perfect if the front is lower by 1/2", it sits higher than the rear, even with driver and passenger inside the car. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk I completely agree. If there was a way to lower the front 1/4-1/2 in. without much work or cost I'd consider it. Lowering springs drop too much for my liking and bottoming out is also a concern for me. It's cheap and easy to lift up the back that much with just some saggy bum strut spacers but I hate to do that. Height is not your friend when it comes to handling:p Lighting Mods: $10 Footwell Illumination | Tail as Turn | Fog as DRL Diode Dynamics C-Lights | RX350 Bi-Xenon Retrofit
