Amazing turn out, thanks everyone for showing up!

Congrats to Joe, Fred, and Wyatt on their first track day, and to Mack for adding Sears Point to his track list =D I hope you guys enjoyed it and will come out again. Fred, I can't wait to see the vid of you passing a Ferrari 430, 911 Turbo, and Cayman S on your first run ever lol.

Condolences to our lone casualty that was running in the Advanced group (not a beginner, pushed it just a bit too hard). Sears Point is extremely unforgiving, and anytime you go off the track that usually means kissing a concrete or tire wall. Any other track you would spin out in gravel, but here unfortunately we don't have that. It could have been alot worse, so hopefully it's all just cosmetic and I'm thankful you were able to walk away from it. To those that were attending, if you would like to help him out, please keep the online chatter to a minimum until he gets things resolved.

To his credit, despite things going awry so early in the day, he was a super trooper and stuck around til the end of the day to help a local LGT owner in need of help with an FMIC install. a huge thanks to Nick, Ken, and everyone else that helped with Jeff's install.

If anyone is on Facebook, friend me (Mark Rapanut) and I can invite you to our Norcal HPDE group which we use to find out if anyone organize these track days amongst our track friends that we meet along the way (like Nick, Ed, and Clarence).

Since the day was a bit hectic, and there were so many people scattered around I wish I could've spent more time meeting and chatting with everyone. What do you guys think of getting back together for a BBQ this summer?

A big thanks to you and whomever else helped organize this event.

Special thanks for having me ride in your session and then riding shotgun for my first session. It was very helpful.

It was a success!! Great job everyone and special thanks to Mark for organizing, keeping this thread updated and assisting all us track noobs with answers to our questions. We truly have a fantastic community here. It was geat to meet you all.

And another special thanks to our advanced driver that had the on-track incident. I appreciate you riding with me for my first session. The comments that you had were very welcome and helpful, and your ease and trust in my driving gave me loads of confidence for a fun filled day. I don't know many people who could hang out in a garage all day looking at his freshly maimed car and put all their energy and determination into helping someone else out. You are a true gentleman sir.

I think I saw you briefly, I was leaving the park as you came in. (brown outback black rims) I was in a BRZ hunting down a caliper bracket bolt.

Where you not able to find the group?

Hey OB2 yeah that was my wife and I. I did see that BRZ headed out and saw your car in the garage. Sorry we didn't get to say hello, when we got there most of the guys were on the track and we ended up just hanging out at the main grandstand watching you guys and the group after. Unfortunately we didn't stay very long (had errands to run and we were starving). Great to see Legacys and Outback out on track. I should be ready to get out there next year.

Hey Nick, good to hear you and Ken where able to finish the FMIC after I left. Wish I could of stayed longer, but I needed to be back in Fresno by 7:00. Did everything go back together good after clamping down all the connectors?

Couldn't have done it without you and it was nice to meet you!

Of course with the terrible fitment of that kit, the drivers-side pipe coming out of the intercooler touches the foglight housing. We cut his bumper for days with Ken's awesome scissors but it was still pushing up against the pipe too much for the bumper to reach around so zipties were the solution but the intercooler itself seemed to be working...:)

Like you said, this thing was probably made to fit a wrx but the company changes 1 pipe to make it "seem" to work

Here's a link to my photos I pulled out the Subarus only and uploaded them separately here.http://s1375.photobucket.com/user/christobal65/library/Legacy%20Track%20day. I only was able to go out for the first round of sessions before my ankle started bothering me. Also these pics are all untouched I just dumped them off my D70.

Some highlights below:

awesome pics chris, thanks so much for taking them. Curious what lens were you using?

You should post these to the picture thread!

Nikon 70-300mm VRII, neither the camera nor the lens are the best for the job and they are actually holding me back, but I don't do enough photography enough anymore to justify spending $4000 on new equipment.

Thank you so much for all those pics!

not a problem it's one of the things I like to do when I'm at the track :)

Wow! Nice work Chris! Thank you!

Thanks hope you find a good one of your car :)

I had a good time & it was nice to meet all of you!. Thanks Mark for putting this meet/track together also a big thanks to Nick, Ken, Joe aka F1inspiredlgt (sorry if that's not your name. I not not good with names) & everyone else that laid a hand with the helping installing my fmic. I know it was a real big pain in the ass without instruction & took most of the day to do but it came out really good & I couldn't have done it without you guys.

Ohh Nick, I found out why it the pipe on the driver side kept hitting. The curve pipe was suppose to go under instead of around & the curved coupler was suppose to be on the intercooler but it is good the way it is now with no issues so far. Today I went to go buy a dremel to trim the front bumper cuz it was really hard for me to trim it with a hand saw. Thanks again guys for the install I really appreciate it!!. Here are some pics of the install. For some reason I can only post one pic. Can someone tell me how to put more than one pic?

Mark, I'm in for the BBQ! I also didn't get to talk to everyone that was there. :(

Also if anyone interested in a Perrin tmic let me know I have one for sale.
