Official 3.6R Mod List

Its possible yes, nstg8r and McDowell would likely know for sure.

Actually, I have no clue. I know for sure the Tactrix cable works, that's about it. You would have to check on the RomRaider forums for more info.

I've seen people using the vagcom cable with romraider on the forums but I didn't see any 3.6r doing it. It defiantly works with romraider and Subarus though.

I do have the '11 ROM image for the EcuFlash software btw, what I don't have is the defintion file. I have nothing on the '11 for the RomRaider software and I haven't seen anything for it on the RR forum either, so for now your only choice for tuning might be EcuTek.

I have a 2011 3.6r and I am tuned using ecuflash and Rom raider to log using a tactrix cable, im just curious if there is a cheaper way that might help other people in the future.

You know, I checked your build thread right before I posted that just to check to see if you had tuned your car. You need to update the 1st post of your build thread. :redface:

So, if you already have the Tactrix cable, why would you need the vagcom one?

Yea it's a little out dated, I just finished the tune. Im not curious for myself as much as others. If I knew before I bought the tactrix cable that I could have bought a $8 cable that did the same thing I would have saved myself $170, I figure this is all part of paving the way for others. All of us experiment so that other people don't have to, that's the beauty of these forums.

Yeah, I purchased the Tactrix cable for the same reason; to pull the 2012 ROM image and get it defined. I even pulled some log files but I never got a tune. I still have the cable sitting in the closet.

XRT did a great job on mine. Now that he did mine he has a good starting point for other 3.6rs. What mods have you done?

So far, just the intake. If I go the OpenSource route, I'm probably going to ECS since they've already done Giovanni's and they're only about 90 minutes from me.

XRT was able to do a indirect trans tune, I haven't seen anyone else on here have that done yet. Just something to consider. If you get a borla exhaust I could send you my tune to give you an idea how it runs. There is one for sale in the for sale threads.

Okay, so let's get a count of which MY 3.6s are tuned, so far I got:

2010 = 1 (Perscitus)

2011 = 2 (ItalianLegacy, stevenc1703)

2012 = 0

2013 = 2 (fredrik94087, KFCConspiracy)

2014 = 0

Is that it?

Link please Steven...pics...dyno...even butt dyno (we don't care)

I need links to posts with info. I want to be moved. I want the ups, the downs, and everything is between.

I can just put a list of everyone that is tuned on page1, but a link is better.

I'm working on a new setup, can't wait to finish it and show everyone.

It's not completely done, I'm waiting on the car kit for power and a better dash mount and I need to run the wires a little cleaner I might even put it in a different place but I think it will work. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/2e9f26365d92d12996a8a9e3afa26d88.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/bab379d8d4a09503946ba16355e24a03.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/22/5fa4c3294e69f375a1bfb4ca666049db.jpg

Alright. So I'm taking the car for an oil change next week but I was wondering if anyone knew what this fluttering was before I got there. It mostly just happens on cold starts and then goes away but I don't think that it's the belts because they seem in great condition. I believe that it's the pulley that I point to that Is making the noise. If it's loose or what.

Nice setup, I wonder if those are the direct sensor outputs.

For example, two AFRs would lead me to believe one is 'commanded' (what the ECU/tune requests and the other 'measured' (as approximated from the wideband and MAF/IAT/MAP readings) as a result of the instantaneous fuel trim changes. Good to see g/sec and C for a change!

Sounds a bit strange, the idler pulley you pointed out (and the belt tensioner pulley) both have bearings which allows some play and wobble. You can replace the pulleys or just the bearings... plus while @ it, grab a Gatorback serpentine/accessory belt! Best $$$ I've spent on the car short of the RSB.

I think one is driver side wideband sensor and the other is passenger wideband sensor but I might be wrong. There are a bunch of different af readings from different parts of the car. Here are just a few of the readings you can monitor.

Thank you. I'll check this too. What's the difference with the gatorback belt?
