  1. Ahhhh gotcha. Smart move. I made an GNX style instrument cluster for my Buick doing that. Only problem was it was too large to print, had to split it up. If my printer was working I’d offer to help….
  2. The material around the vent is pretty slim. I wouldn’t trust the weight of a gauge+pod on the outer rim. You could do one but it wouldn’t look good at all IMO. On the one I’m working on I’m at max 2 due to weight. If you look at the ones made by LAM (Legace additive manufacturing) the base pod is in the center with two on the outer edge. He’s got sizeable attachments on either side to help hold in place and support it. His base is completely different though, which I’m not a fan of. That’s just me. I’d you’re going to make a 3D model to print, why not just make an anodized aluminum bracket instead? I get that printing would be cheaper and I’m sure under hood temps on that side probably wouldn’t be enough to deform ABS (as long as there’s enough material in/on it so it’s not flimsy) but if it were me I’d rather have metal under the hood. My $0.02.
  3. If you don’t trust EBay (which is smart) the on I’d check on here, outback forums (xt’s section) or nasioc for a used turbo. Or there’s numerous Subaru parts groups on Facebook you could look. I’m pretty sure there’s at least a VF46 for sale currently in the classifieds (would need different restricter pill) or maybe a VF52? I’m pretty sure JMP would also replace all the guts so even if you got a bad one off of Fleabay JMP would go through it with a fine tooth comb. There’s various places that sell rebuilt turbos…I know there’s hill county induction in NY, BNR super cars, plus another place in MI who sells VF40s, etc. 9 times out of 10 people here will go to JMP tho…so that says something. You could always post something in the wanted section too. Like Max said if you end up going the VF52 route make sure you budget for a proper tune as well.
  4. I’d be curious as to what you find out about the o reheating issue. Wife’s Tribeca is doing the same when idling… course H6s are different animals and Tribecas are known to run hot but maybe a fix for yours will help hers. As of right now there is a pinhole leak in the rad so I’m planning on replacing that and all heater hoses. Headgaskets are also in the not so distant future too though…
  5. Finally sharing pictures of mine. Here it is in its natural winter habitat. This thing is a blast to drive in the snow! Looking out the window tonight made me appreciate the lines of this car and just how amazing it still looks after all these years. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to snap a pic with the beautiful sunset lighting. Also appreciated seeing at least one side still being clean after having washed it 100x in the last week cause salt. Don’t mind the dings…
  6. If you don’t end up getting any interest in selling as a set I may be interested in buying the shocks if All_talk just wants springs.
  7. Enoight not to threadjack but what’s the p/n for that console with the ebrake on the left hand side? And whered you find it?! Madrig cette pièce est très belle et formidable, je m’intéresse aussi! Je voudrais bien voir cette pièce à ta wagon:wub:
  8. Why are you looking at rebuild kits? Were you going to try to do it yourself? Please don’t. You will end up needing a new motor too after your rebuilt turbo blows up. Happened to me (through dealership so they replaced turbo/motor, not me), but lesson learned. After a day they said car was ready….seemed really odd. Few miles down the road heard a ticking sound. Brought it back and boom. Contact JMP he does great work. Or if you want the VF52 that’s a nice upgrade.
  9. This is why I love Subarus - That camping set up is awesome! What’s the roof weight capacity for our cars? Yours is the ultimate off road LGT I’ve seen so far!
  10. Have some parts for sale just trying to make room in the garage: CSF OEM rad (std thickness, not thick performance) - BNIB, make offer. Went with different brand. See Photos, there is a dent from install. Note: aux coolant tank hose nipple on rad is smaller than OEM hose, but it does come with a rubber adapter. Would work with worm clamp but will come off with a little bit of effort with oem hose clamp. Gas/clutch/brake pedal assy - $50 shipped. Bought for sport pedal install, didn't need. I believe this came out of a car with 150k. Never installed in mine. 45mm gauge pod - free. Printed by another member, I just paid for filament. I have one in car already, this was an extra sent to me. I don't need it so thought I'd pass along if someone else wants to use it. Front will need some light dremeling to fit gauge properly. You pay shipping. Also have a set of oem mudflaps for 05-09 outback - free. I bought thinking I could make them work for a GT wagon, then saw it'd take a lot of effort/ probably would not work and got RAs instead. You pay shipping. I will post pics later. Also have a pair of freshly turned rotors off the wife's Tribeca. Thought these would work on LGT until I figured out the bolt pattern is different. Free, you pay shipping.
  11. What’s the pipe diameter? And how was it with the resonator? Did it tone it down some?
  12. Max is this what you were referring to? Older but an alternative. Also I think nameless performance also makes something similar… https://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4325397&postcount=65
  13. Hahahaha that’d be awesome to show up to a meet with this thing! Beautiful wagon-as I said in your other thread, gave me a lot of ideas for mine. Also sad to see it go, hopefully someone who will appreciate it for what it is will pick it up…definitely a unicorn…
  14. That’s too bad you’re getting rid of the car. Your YouTube vids inspired a lot of ideas for mine. Got an 08 steering wheel w/audio controls and STi mufflers that are going to be installed soon among some other things. GLWS!
  15. So can I ask what you didn’t like about it? Been toying with the idea of eventually converting to a 16G just to have something rebuildable. Or a JMP VF40..just want something as a spare or a rebuildable core.
  16. “With original motor”….props to Dan Mach V for maintaining/building this thing to last but with an original motor at that mileage, that thing is a ticking time bomb that needs work. Sad to see it in that shape now. I saw old pictures of it a while back when Dan sold it. That was a beautiful car.
  17. FWIW when I replaced the front axle in the wife’s Tribeca (stupid….) the shop didn’t replace the bearing (according to my former mechanic neighbor) but it did shake at 55+ on the interstate. Took it back and they fixed with a new one and no shake since. Maybe an issue with the axle or bearings?
  18. Was at a Subaru meet recently and met a 4th gen OBXT driver who was very complimentary about my wagon, said that color was is favorite…
  19. Thanks for the info. Not looking for crazy drop cause it’s a family truckster but I wouldn’t mind a little tighter handling. Gonna stick with 17s but maybe next time try 225 or even 235s.
  20. Damn that’s a nice looking car. What kind of wheels are on it now? Not usually a fan of black with RBP but yours pulls it of nicely…
  21. Agree with Frootloop and Steve all, that’s one sharp wagon. Those wheels and calipers looks great against the white…
  22. Great info thanks 05MNLGT! That’d be nice to have a mic there like newer models but I don’t think I’d want to sacrifice my dash for that. The McIntosh system sounds nice…I think for my purposes I’d add a double din with upgraded speakers. And you’re right after two years of ownership I’m still finding out how the rest of the world got way more than we ever did…. Even as is it’s still one of the nicest cars I’ve owned…and most fun.
