  1. Cars looking good! What’s the front grill emblem? In the top pic what’s that white wagon in the background? Is that a (edit:Loyale-couldn’t think of the name)? That’s awesome! Also digging the 3rd gen oozing the 90s vibe with those wheels…thanks for the pics! Looks like there were some cool cars there.
  2. Did you ever get an answer? Found this in recent for sale thread…
  3. Don’t know if you still need help with this, but in the drivers’ side footwell there’s a rubber grommet that can come out for the clutch in A/T cars. I made an “x” slit in it for the line to my boost gauge. Haven’t done much with the electrical yet but was planning on using the same wires for power. I’d test the wires for the mpg output if you can. Check out this thread:
  4. Ok thanks, no worries. If you can get some pics I’d appreciate it but like you said, I’m sure once I get in there I can figure it out. edit: found some pics on Blackhawk japan. I see what you mean now. Might just go ahead and invest in the Cusco kit, seems like it’d be better/easier for install.
  5. Thanks @Infosecdad and @KZJonny! Helps if you search with that right terminology I guess…”rear sway bar brackets” instead of “rear trailing arm bracket” just makes too much sense…. @KZJonnydid yours bolt right up? From what I’ve read so far the holes don’t match up to the usdm bracket? Might be worth the extra $$ (or a lot of extra….) to have matching holes…
  6. Not without slight modification. I know there’s a walk through somewhere on here for the JDM spec b grill…I imagine it’d be the same or close for this one. I believe you have to cut a small portion out of the bumper to make it work and there may be a slight gap. If you look at the 1st pic you’ll see this one has 4 tabs where the USDM grill only has 2.
  7. Up for sale is a JDM “V” style grille. Bought it and decided to go in a different direction. In good shape, just a little dirty. Asking $250 shipped.
  8. By chance does anyone know the part # for the spec b bracket? Found the Cusco but wanted to see what I could get the stock bracket for…
  9. Idk…I wouldn’t think it would be, but I have no idea…seems like there’s all sorts of little nuance things that are different between JDM and usdm models to make doing anything a pita lol. I’ve seen his kits…but gotta be honest, looks like some lowes/home depot angle stock w/holes cut to size…I can do that myself. Also tried to get a hold of him about some front sway bar bushings he sells and no response, so don’t get a warm fuzzy feeling about that avenue. Just my experience. Good to know about the Cusco stuff…don’t have to have Cusco necessarily but if they make stuff that’ll work then that’s what I’ll use. All good info thanks again everyone!
  10. Cool thanks for the responses everyone. Was wondering if it was a mostly bolt-in deal. I was planning on getting all new bushings anyways. I can do wire splicing that’s not a big deal if needed. I figured the spec b should be the same as a standard GT? I’ll have to check out the spec b sway bar endlink bushing, thanks for the info! Will the usdm one work or does it need to be JDM? Thanks Edit: I’ve got avo rear sway bar brackets- would this work?
  11. Has anyone done this, or know much about it (or know who is still around who has)Or was it ever really discussed? Can’t find much. Basically have all the rear JDM aluminum trailing arms and diff cradle pieces. Just wondering if I can get new usdm bushings and put everything back together or if it’s more complicated. Would like to swap over when I re-do the suspension. Thanks in advance for any advice…
  12. Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I’m gonna just go with the duplicolor brush-on kit for now. Since I have a 2nd set I may revisit in the spring and completely rebuild the fronts. Don’t know yet if I’ll powder coat or do G2. Right now with winter coming and time constraints, I’ll be lucky to just get new pads and rotors and paint… Rusty, are those STi calipers? They look really good….
  13. Gonna be doing brakes here soon before winter and thought while I was at it I’d paint the stock calipers. Just wondering if anyones done this, what did you use? Seems like duplicator, vht, and G2 are all decent paints, each with their own quirks. Really leaning towards G2….just cause it’s an expoxy-style paint that stand up to salt and other junk from the road better (so they say…also downside is it’s more expensive than vht or duplicolor). Would prefer to brush it on, too, not spray. Been thinking of painting the calipers black…but also joked around with a few people on here about having gold calipers (brembo gold). Kinda on the fence about gold. I think it’d look great with the car (RBP) but would also prefer to have actual brembos, but at this point the financial commitment needed for that is a long ways away. Running stock wheels so I just want to make the calipers look decent. Thoughts? TIA…
  14. PM’d last night, forgot to say something about it yesterday…
  15. Hahahah thanks, you’re a pal. Ownership of this car is an excercise in irresponsible spending. Painting the stock calipers that color has definitely crossed my mind, but I didn’t wanna have Bananabos…I’d rather do it right or not at all. For now I’m having my stickers painted black so they won’t look rusted out until I can get these on the car. But it also will make me have to buy oem bbs I’ve been wanting to get. Oh no….!
  16. I love SEM stuff l, have restored several parts and painted some interior panels with it.didn’t know they made a eBay preventer, that’s good to know! Thankfully my undercarriage is pretty mint but I’d like to keep it that way. I’ll probably use the SEM for the upper part and do the undercarriage with fluidfilm. Unfortunately as my daily it will see a little bit of stuff…also why I wash it a ton in the winter…
  17. Dammit Booze, you’re making me realize how much I need gold/bronze brembos on my car….and how much character it adds to a RBP wagon. The wallet can’t handle all that lol…
  18. Even fewer know what this is or understand it, or could appreciate it because of all the work, time, and money have been invested in it. Sad part is, most people (non-subaru enthusiasts) nowadays probably just see it as some old Subaru wagon. It’s an incredible machine, thanks for sharing with us.
