  1. Mike used a long and thin extension, a swivel, and one of those offset socket things, that is similar to O2 sensor sockets. Or I think that is what he used. I was inside since it was raining. But those were the tools he had when he was putting the IC back on. SC
  2. If I knew when tight was tight, I wouldn't have so many snapped bolts in my life! However, it looks like (from PS-49) that it's 29.5 ft-lb. SC
  3. So it's supposed to point towards the passenger side, but mine was pointing towards the drivers side. If I understood Mike correctly. The bolt was so loose that it was just letting the sensor wobble all over the place. I think that it might have been put in wrong when they built the engine, as it's always been really knocky. It was just so bad recently, that I had to take it in and see if it was going to come apart. That bolt is certainly not in a convenient spot! SC
  4. Because it was about to explode, I finally took it down to PIA. Mike worked on it in the parking lot, and found the knock sensor was oriented the wrong way, and super loose. And he cleaned the MAF. Now it runs super nice! SC
  5. I picked up 3 of the Power Steering O-Rings. Now I just need to wait for the weather to cooperate. Anyone know what the correct torque amount is when putting the bolt back on? SC
  6. When I try to get that PDF, it just gives me a 1x1 pixel. SC
  7. Quarterly oil change. Since I'm out of the IAG warranty period I went back to a WIX filter, but I still have some Motul from the case that I bought a bit back. And topped off the power steering fluid. Just a bit over 115k miles. SC
  8. Changed the oil/oil filter, and topped off the power steering fluid. SC
  9. Nice vid! Anyone have the previous version (2.1.3.8) of AP Manager for OS X? The new version just crashes. TIA! SC
  10. Any updates on v11? Are we still considering the GoFundMe? SC
  11. Wouldn't they be a bit large for most printers? Or make them modular? SC
  12. Just about the same timeframe for me. I don't mind visiting, but I always appreciate seeing CA in my rear view mirror! As for firearms, I joined the Garand Collectors Association. Now I need to get my CCL, and I can get up to 8 Garands a year from the CMP! SC
  13. And this site has been just about the best resource for everything that I've done to my specB! SC
  14. So I've noticed recently that when I get in the car, it feels like the right side of the seat is popping into place. I moved it forward a bit incase I had it off of the adjustment screw, and that seemed to help for a few days. Then the popping into place came back. Once it pops into place, it's good to go, but the next time I get back in, it pops in again. Is this maybe a common problem, or is it maybe another problem that comes with being tall? SC
  15. Well, it was actually a few days ago, but oil and filter change. I ordered up a box of Motul on Amazon to get a fairly competitive price, and picked up the Purolator filter PL14615. I decided to reserve ~1 quart into an oil bottle for when it gets low, rather than try and guess when there was enough oil in the system. SC
  16. What a day! About 1130 - Replaced low beam bulbs with Sylvania XtraVision H7s About 1145 - Washed it. Washed it good! About 1300 - Departed for PIA About 1815 - Departed PIA with a Dynotune (249 HP / 280 TRQ) and a new MAF sensor. About 1816 - Checked in at BTC for an alignment. Right front needs a bigger camber bolt thing... SC
  17. Necrobump! So the instructions I have specify a cleaning agent, and the Primer P K500. I'd almost think that the cleaning agent would be the alcohol pad. The instructions imply that after applying the Primer P K500, the surface will be sticky. SC
  18. Maybe I'm missing it, but I see WCSS has scheduled a show, but I can't seem to find out where it's gonna be this year. Anyone know where? SC
  19. Subaru Genuine Parts is now (completely defunkt) out of Texas. SC
  20. Still good to see. I was pretty much softroading it in the snow Tuesday after work. I was looking at the brochure for the AS3+ and they remind me of the Goodyear Gatorbacks. I think that because of Costco, all the worthwhile tire shops in the area have closed so for now, what Costco has, is the best option. SC
  21. Wow! I was figuring on just getting the Plain Jane version anyways! I'll just stick with getting the M1 all spiffed up. SC
  22. I was thinking about adding an M1A to the collection, but I think I'm over it. SC
