  1. If you want to fix the upside-down pictures, if you rotate them 360 and save them again, it restores the orientation data in the image and the server will render them correctly. GLWS!
  2. I'm planning to attend, depending on when
  3. Thanks for coming back to let us know what the root cause was, not everyone does that. I get this, you trusted the mechanic because they are supposed to know better. Unfortunately, as you found out, many of them are seriously winging it and don't know what they are doing. This is why I've gotten into doing all the work on my car, too many times they couldn't cover the basics.
  4. We are under a sustained spam attack for the last four hours. I've spent the last two hours trying to flag all the accounts and posts, and have mostly been able to clean it up. But, it's still ongoing. The only way to really stop it is to implement a moderator review of all new user accounts which would not be fun. I don't have the ability to delete accounts, just flag them, otherwise, I would.
  5. Was it tuned for the DW740s? The stock injectors are 550 and you would need to adjust the tune to account for that. Also, if it's tuned assuming the 50/50 BOV will dump air, but that air is actually being returned, that may need an adjustment as well.
  6. Good guess... I made it to Lexington, KY last night; crashed hard in the hotel room. Will be departing soon as I finish a business call. @m sprank if I had realized that you were up 81 I may have taken that route instead. I choose a different route that is new to me this time and am going up 64/79, then backroads to cut up to the Penn TurnPike because I do what I can to avoid driving in Maryland. I joined the WhatsApp groups. I'll be in one of the primitive sites for Friday/Saturday nights. Farmer's Daugthers Cafe sounds amazing, I'm there.
  7. I pretty much solved mine, it took a while. When I get a chance I'll look back over my notes for details. I think it was a combination of FPR and tuning the AVCS.
  8. I'm coming from West TN. I have family in Louisville, but their world is too crazy to impose now. I have a hotel room reserved in Lexington, KY for the night. That should leave me about 8hrs tomorrow which should be doable. Long COVID sucks, I don't know which version of me I'll get in a day. I might be able to knock out 8hrs without a sweat, I might be calling it after 3hrs because I'm too fatigued. Praying it's the more normal me for this weekend.
  9. I'll take any spares that people leave you with (if any...) Please let me know if I should bring anything food/drink-wise (or otherwise). I'm starting off tomorrow afternoon as it's a 13hr drive for me and I'm still not to the point that I can knock that out in a day.
  10. I have one of the Pokit Pros and it's really nice. https://www.pokitinnovations.com/
  11. I'm definitely showing up in mine Getting things together, including camping chairs, etc. Going to be a long drive, but looking forward to it and seeing everyone.
  12. Oh nice, thanks for confirming that it's possible on a 2012 and what's needed to make it work. Well done!
  13. 2010-2012 2.5L turbo is quite different in many incompatible ways (mounts, turbo location, etc); I wouldn't consider it a viable option.
  14. What coils are they replacing yours with? There are plenty of junk aftermarket coils. Diamond Electric manufactures the OEM coils.
  15. Yes, sir, I am still getting 26-27 mpg when I keep her around 72-75 mph on the highway. 80 mph will drop to 24-25 mpg, and 65 mph will bump to 27-28 mpg. The sixth gear is so lovely for dropping the RPMs when cruising.
  16. There are two types of 6spd transmissions. The solid case 6spd that is in the STi and SpecB that uses a different case, direct shift linkage, and heavier built. It's arguably the best transmission that Subaru has built. There is also a split-case 6spd that the 2015+ WRX (and 2010-2012 LGT) uses that is based off the 6spd transmission built for the EU diesel engines. It uses the 5spd case and is redesigned internally to have a 6th gear and has a cable driven shifter. It shares the same external components that the 5spd does due to the same case. It's not as heavy duty as the solid case 6spd from STi and SpecB, but if you aren't pushing 400hp, then the split-case may work just fine for you. A few of us now have upgraded our 5spd to this 6spd transmission with excellent results. Here is my thread about my experiences: There are a few others linked from it as well if you are interested.
  17. Just go with one of the 2015-202x WRX splitcase 6MT that will reuse everything from the 5MT, including fork, clutch, driveshaft, mounts, etc.
  18. That's probably because we approach the driver's side all the time and this is the perspective we are most comfortable with.
  19. Pulling in the design (I think this was the last cycle). I think your idea of sedan front breast / wagon back would work. Anything else I can think of would require modifications.
  20. I always do that... They have almost always been used for someone else's vehicle thankfully.
  21. I was thinking of bringing ramps because they are a good bit lighter. I could bring my quick jacks, but that's a good bit of weight in the tail and we would need to solve the power requirement.
  22. You could ship it to my place in TN, I can haul it up in the wagon if needed. https://get-primitive.com/product/armor-skidplates-and-protection/rear-differential-skidplates/uni-rear-differential-skidplate/ This is the rear diff plate that I have.
  23. Yeah, that's why I was asking which one I can imagine going from USDM pre-facelift to JDM post-facelift would have different geometry and mounting points (at least shifted a bit). I just wanted to clarify the context of which scenario we were talking about.
  24. I'm now running pre-facelift JDM headlights, brackets, and bumper (all '05). I think the post-facelift swaps you have to do fenders as well, but you don't for pre-facelift.
