  1. Oh yeah, you don’t want the Nameless with 5” “mufflers”. It sounds better (read: louder) than stock and you’ll be convinced that it’s the greatest for a little bit. Then you’ll start being annoyed by the drone and the loudness. Check the classifieds, you’ll see them come up often used and there is a reason. Rhitter has mine now.
  2. There is also a JDM button in that location that says “ECO”.
  3. I have the same K2 Twin Tube LEDs and I also have Prova mirrors modified with the OEM heating elements. http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/JoshEAllen/E1AFDFC5-5A8E-4C6F-803A-A45364BAE2DA.jpg http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/JoshEAllen/AAD166B1-5D78-4AD7-A91D-B041FD7A2678.jpg
  4. I noticed the same thing. I had to remove one of the vertical “ribs” and some of the padding. Once those are on you’ll notice that USDM floor panels don’t fit. Arnold, aka valleylegacy, also got the rear seat release buttons working on those panels. I have the harness connection but they need a relay to work correctly and wiring ain’t my thing.
  5. Have you considered going with a one piece replacement instead of OEM? I’m not sure what transmission you have but this is the price range. http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import-driveshafts/subaru/2005-subaru-legacy-2-5-gt-1-piece-aluminum-driveshaft-5-speed-automatic-only They also have carbon fiber for about twice the price.
  6. Are you planning on getting the black JDM trunk side (and floor) panels so that you can also get the adjustable brackets for the rear seat recline?
  7. Yes, JDM lights have a city light in addition to the turn signal. https://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5857643&postcount=572
  8. I’m not 100% sure since it came with the SpecB swap but I think it’s an Exedy Stage 1.
  9. Given that many swap JDM A-C headlights into their USDM 05-07s with no issues, I believe he was commenting on a facelifted D-F Outback (USDM 08-09). I had the opposite issue, I bought JDM headlights and realized that I needed JDM fenders, or I would have that gap that you mention.
  10. I didn’t shoot a video and I’m not sure if they did. It’s much quieter without the EWG dumping to atmosphere.
  11. With higher ethanol content there are no changes made to the map (like higher boost) so numbers may go up a little. Traction with A/T tires in the cold on the dyno at 450 was already an issue.
  12. I got my car back from Surgeline today. My 2009 OBXT needed the 5 pin kit, not the 3 pin kit that Cobb said I needed. Installed: Cobb Flex Fuel Kit with fuel pressure monitoring kit Fuelab Mini FPR Build and install additional -4 fuel return line AEM 340lph fuel pump (DW300c couldn’t keep up) Rerouted EWG into the downpipe (previously atmosphere) Dyno results (horsepower/torque): Pump gas, E10 I - 369/329 (wastegate) S - 400/375 (18psi) S# - 419/387 (20psi) E67 mix I - 398/378 (wastegate) S - 439/423 (20psi) S# - 454/442 (22psi) It was on a Mustang dyno and temps were in the 30s E67 mix vs. 92 pump (E10) E67 tunes My build thread is here: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/wrx-usas-09-obxt-build-thread-241191.html

  14. I got my car back from Surgeline today. Installed: Cobb Flex Fuel Kit with fuel pressure monitoring kit Fuelab Mini FPR Build and install additional -4 fuel return line AEM 340lph fuel pump (DW300c couldn’t keep up) Rerouted EWG into the downpipe (previously atmosphere) Dyno results (horsepower/torque): Pump gas, E10 I - 369/329 (wastegate) S - 400/375 (18psi) S# - 419/387 (20psi) E67 mix I - 398/378 (wastegate) S - 439/423 (20psi) S# - 454/442 (22psi) It was on a Mustang dyno and temps were in the 30s I’ll post the dyno graphs in my build thread later tonight.
  15. I will have to wait until tomorrow for final numbers since Chris will be working on the tune tonight after hours. With the low temps (sub 35 degrees) the numbers on pump gas were about the same as when I had the speed density tune done in September, even with the EWG being rerouted into the exhaust. Injectors, ID1000’s, will be my limiting factor.
  16. I just got a call from Surgeline and it was bad news but nothing catastrophic. The flex fuel kit uses the rear 02 harness connection and when my 6MT was installed that piece must have disappeared with my 5MT. There is one of the harnesses left in the country that will be here next week and then the dyno will happen.
  17. No picture. It may have been original, so 140k+ miles. It’s always nerve wracking getting a call from them when I know they are going to do a dyno tune because I always think it’s a “your shit is broken” is call.
  18. Surgeline just called to let me know that my fuel filter was dirty (aka black) and that Cobb’s listing on their website for 09 OBXT’s Flex Fuel kit is incorrect. My car needed a 5 pin harness, not the 3 pin, and since Surgeline stocks them they swapped and handled the exchange through Cobb. Dyno is set for tomorrow afternoon.
  19. Recirc was the original plan. Per their recommendation I needed to get the fuel tank at about 1/4 tank so they could tune on pump gas before adding E85 and tuning on that. I was just above a 1/2 tank so I took a drive to the Benchmade factory thinking that would be enough but then I remembered how long it had been since I had driven my car and how the last time I got gas was actually in California so I didn’t even have 92 octane in the rest of the tank so I drove down to Creswell Bakery, just south of Eugene, for a late lunch and then on my return trip almost ran out of gas before I found a Chevron.
  20. Dropped off my car at Surgeline for Cobb flex fuel install and dyno tune. I’m also recirculating the EWG back into the exhaust so peak hp/tq numbers on pump will probably come down. It is scheduled to go on to the dyno on Thursday.
  21. It’s a mid-2015 85D. That means that the “range” is 260 miles when fully charged. I’m not sure at what speed that range is determined but if you go 80-85mph you aren’t going to get 260 miles. I’d guess closer to 200. Between Los Altos (in the Bay Area, near San Jose for those not familiar with the geography) and Portland I need to stop 5 times, Vacaville-Corning-Mt Shasta-Grants Pass-Eugene. With a 100D or P100D I’m sure you can eliminate at least one of those. Since I road trip with my dog, stopping every 2 hours to get out walk around, go to the bathroom, get some food/coffee or even just relax, in conjunction with the AutoPilot make driving long distances even with Supercharger stops much less strenuous. I drove Phoenix to Santa Monica, hung out with a friend for a couple hours and Santa Monica to Los Altos on the same day (technically it spilled over into the next) which was almost 800 miles, and walked 22k steps and my dog got 220 minutes of activity (he has a Whistle activity tracker). I haven’t really pushed it that hard in regards to handling but the low COG is very apparent in emergency handling situations on the freeway. I’ve been in several close calls with oblivious people trying to wreck into to me. No engine sound is really nice especially on road trips.
