  1. I'm assuming there's a specific reason for using your car, either because they're familiar with it already or want to compare against the original downpipe design. If you guys can't align with each other this year, I'm still planning to have Nameless install my exhaust (same as yours, if I recall - TBE with 5" mufflers + '15 WRX BPV) sometime in January.
  2. In my defense, I replied to this one first before I got to the one where he was talking about his BPV and there's still a few threads I haven't caught back up on since my east coast trip. But... I think it's better to have this info here anyway since we're trying to guard against overboosting with this install.
  3. You still have the stock BPV too, right? Because the OEM is probably leaking boost anyway.
  4. And those pulls are on the stage 2 OTS map? Because the stage 1 91 octane maps have a target boost of 16 psi.
  5. Haven't heard of it, but it doesn't look like it's done yet.
  6. Well, depending on when this happens, this may simplify my "Konis or coils?" dilemma, although not quite in the way I thought it would.
  7. Looks like I won't be watching. I'll be on the east coast then. If the date slips, I might be able to make it, so I'll keep an eye out.
  8. It probably can; I don't think anyone has tried that yet so we're not completely sure. But the Invidia downpipe wasn't designed and advertised to have no overboost. And we know it's possible, as we have 3 known examples that are pre-group buy.
  9. I've been talking to Fischbach and he says there's no updates from Nameless yet. They might be busy with their rally/drifting seasons, though. *shrugs*
  10. I like the sense of humor that this surfer has.
  11. Instead of demanding new stickers, you *should* be demanding twin turbos.
  12. Do you have a schedule yet? I'd like to hang out if I'm free and if the guys at the garage don't mind.
  13. I assume they'll get Fischbach's car, yes? He's already got a full Nameless TBE with the original downpipe if they need that for a comparison.
  14. Were they modified? Dunno if pfoyle travels them parts, but his car is black.
  15. Could you go through one of the bungs in between the turbo and the cat?
  16. I feel like intentionally adding a restriction to make this downpipe work is a cop out given how the original downpipe design worked. We shouldn't have to do that.
  17. If the overboosting is most apparent in cold weather, then I'd seriously consider getting mine installed at Nameless in the new year. The colder weather should help highlight the problem and I should also have a bit more financial flexibility by then to drop a grand on a project like this. It kinda sucks to wait that long from now, especially since it will have been over a year since the downpipes shipped, but that's probably the best case scenario for me from a financial perspective, and probably also for making the issue readily apparent (assuming I encounter overboosting).
  18. Well, he also has one of the nice Nameless downpipes. He's gotta collect them all.

  20. Their username is still green. Of course, I have no idea how long they are paid up to.
  21. I think the prevailing theory right now is that the changed angle that the wastegate dump pipe rejoins the rest of the exhaust at is at least partly responsible for the boost creep. On yours, it's angled to flow a little smoother. On the groupbuy pipe, it's at a 90 degree angle so the waste gate gases slam into the side of the exhaust pipe and then go whichever way they go (and potentially try to rebound back towards the wastegate). I think before we contact Nameless, we need some really detailed comparison pictures (Hi GTEASER!) to supply them so we can highlight some areas we think we've identified. Also, I'd ideally be in a position to offer my car and downpipe without having to disassemble and introduce potential issues to yours, but I'm not really in a financial position to do so unless they don't charge me for their time. But if they are willing to investigate this a bit and have preferred way to do so, I'm totally on board. I just want the parts to do what is expected of them and my car to operate safely.
  22. So, I live about 30 minutes south of Nameless Performance. I was originally considering have Cobb Surgeline or another tuning shop do the install and tune in one shot. But... I've now been considering having Nameless do the install and possibly let them outsource the tuning with whoever they use. My thinking is if they were involved in the installation, they'd also be involved in whatever resolution is needed to get the car to a safe operational state. Alas, I'm not in any hurry right now to get the car to stage 2, as I now have a few other priorities for the car that are higher than more power.
