  1. Unfortunately, I'll be letting my car go in the next month or so
  2. I technically drove my car today. About 100 feet. And then 100 feet back. It's been a minute since I've been here. Is this place still uber active? I noticed the vast majority of the stickies are locked.
  3. I can spike 21 PSI with the same setup, but I suspect my wastegate porting was done poorly.
  4. What could possibly happen with a catless divorced design? Here's hoping it works for them. Hopefully they'll throw in free wastegate ports with every purchase.
  5. So, when I was hunting for 19's that could clear Brembos, it became evident that there's more to Brembo clearance than just offset. The Advans I have coming in a month or two are +50, for instance. My old TC105Ns that I used to have were 18x8.5 and either +45 or +42 and would clear Brembos. When I asked the wheel dealer I was recently working with (RavSpec) about the Work Emotion CR Kiwami, which comes in +42 or can be custom ordered for lower offsets, I was informed they wouldn't clear the calipers. Spoke thickness and design are something to keep in mind, and there's no "number" to know if a particular set of wheels will clear the calipers or not. I'm not sure Konig has anything in 5x100 that would fit. When I looked, the wheels they have that fit STIs generally didn't have a 5x100 option that works for us. Finding nice 19s for our cars are hard enough, but having wider calipers makes it particularly more difficult. Some manufacturers will point out caliper clearance. Wedssport will indicate if a wheel clears "big brakes" in the descriptions, but their 19" options are extremely limited. Rays tend to have a column in their wheel specs labeled "BIG CALIPER CLEARANCE" and uses a legend which includes Impreza 4 pots and the STI, and several of their 5x100 wheels share an offset with a 5x114 variant. But... these wheels are significantly more expensive than something from Konig.
  6. When you say you're not getting the email notifications, which email account are you referring to? If you're not getting them in your Gmail account, then that could be a bit strange, but likely solvable since Gmail has various folders that it may default emails into based on what it assumes you would want... until you tell it otherwise. Check the spam folder for this account. If, instead, you're not getting the forwarded emails to what I presume is some ISP or business email address, then I suspect the provider has flagged your Gmail account as spam and is blocking those emails just as they did initially with the forum email sender. In short, they seem to be pretty aggressive in blocking what they consider to be high volume senders and are trying to "protect" their users. You can try contacting them again to confirm and explain that they are blocking a personal email address. But I'm going to assume they'll be just as helpful here as they were previously. I assume this scenario is your actual problem since they've already exhibited this behavior recently for what I assume would be a similar volume of incoming emails from just one address. Additionally, there's pretty much nothing SBT can do here except confirm the forum's emailer is still working and direct you to your own email provider for more information. Since this doesn't appear to be a widespread problem, it's safe to say the problem exists with your email settings or provider.
  7. No, although you'll have to be pretty diligent of cleaning your mass airflow sensor if any issues crop up. Excess oil from the filter could get sprayed onto it.
  8. Umm, let's not discuss how much the wheels I ordered that are being delivered this spring cost.
  9. Umm, wow. My brain literally cannot comprehend getting a nice set of wheels for under 400 dollars for our cars.
  10. It does look pretty nice. I certainly hope he gets the 21k he's looking for, although that still seems high for a 6 year old car. JDM-style spoiler on it too.
  11. After you've driven them a bit, let us know which ones you have and what you think of them?
  12. http://78.media.tumblr.com/44fb00d7ed24d657d0dc3901c52651fc/tumblr_n68ax1xNjg1qeidy7o1_250.gif
  13. My incoming wheels are going to be 19x9+50. But, I am considering running some small spacers so I can fit a bit wider tire before hitting the struts. Or... sneaking in some coilovers somehow. Anyway, I don't expect the wheels until May so I don't have anything really concrete yet.
  14. Southbend isn't readily available? I have an ACT HDSS. It's ok. It took a really long time for shifting to even out and stop jerking the car around, but it's pretty decent now. Personally, I'd probably go with a Southbend Stage 2 clutch next time. Is the Exedy just the stock clutch? If you're adding power, you might want something more robust.
  15. Just to emphasize what GTEASER said, he mentioned it didn't make as much difference for his Forrester compared to his Legacy. This implies, and he has explicitly stated elsewhere (as has a few of us) that the lockdown makes a noticeable difference for the Legacy. And since it's one of the cheapest and easiest mods around, it's well worth doing if you'd like to tighten up the steering.
  16. My parents live in NH and I've been giving them a hard time. Yesterday, it was 60 and sunny out here in PDX.
  17. I'm the worst when it comes to big purchases that involved really competitive choices. I spend days thinking about it, and then spends days after ordering on if I should change my mind or not. By the way, does anyone have any concerns with 2 piece wheels? Asking for a friend, so completely unrelated.
  18. Having worked for an email newsletter company as a developer, preserving your email sender reputation isn't necessarily an exact science.
  19. If anyone is in the market for some sexy 18x8.5's, this guy is selling some brand new Wedssport SA10Rs at a slight discount: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/li-ny-18x8-5-sa10r-blue-light-chrome-18x8-ssr-268040.html Definitely a sweet wheel.
  20. You could get a Forester XT for your daily. Then, you could do some small quality of life mods to it, you know, simple stuff, like an AccessPort, and then maybe improve the suspension and on and on and then, before you know it, you're in a another modding rabbit hole and you barely drive your Legacy anymore.
