  1. So, should I include the bolts I got from Totally Stainless or just have them use OEM bolts? Thoughts?
  2. Fischbach's car has a Nameless '15 WRX BPV in it. I'm going to be installing the same unit this coming week.
  3. Well... one way or another, my car is being dropped off at English Racing on Sunday to go stage 2 over Monday and Tuesday.
  4. This is funny. I'm talking to them about dropping my car off Sunday evening right now.
  5. 24k for a 2010? That blows my mind, especially if he manages to get that. That's only 10k less than what I paid for my '12 new in a box.
  6. He also lives in Massachusetts, so he may have had to replace some of that stuff anyway because salt.
  7. Even the Cobb OTS tunes raise the rev limit. I don't know off-hand what it is, but I definitely know I've gone past the factory limit.
  8. I have no idea where I'd go for a 3rd gear pull around here.
  9. Anyone going to the Portland Auto Show this weekend?
  10. Might I suggest reading through his build thread that's linked in his signature? His first post there talks about getting ready for E85. I kinda feel this conversation is veering from the original topic for this stickied thread.
  11. I'm confused. A Boise craigslist for a car in Portland?
  12. I don't understand your question. Holds true to what? The J pipe or downpipe is part of a replacement TBE given that it's the very first part of the exhaust after the turbo. Since the downpipe is the restriction, changing it along with the rest of the exhaust should allow you to see gains. If you upgrade just the downpipe, you'll see similar gains.
  13. Do we need a database of wheels that fit our cars and that clear various things? Clears inner fender without modification Clears inner fender with roll Clears inner fender with pull Clears Brembos Clears WRX front struts
  14. The gear indicator, without a doubt, is calculated based on speed and RPMs. When my OEM clutch was slipping, the gear indicator would vary despite not actually changing gears. Putting it in a high gear, slamming on the gas, and slipping the clutch would make the indicator think I was downshifting as the RPMs rose. Letting off the gas without changing gears would result in the indicator showing the correct gear. I recall also reading this information quite some time ago, so this isn't really new ground for us. Somehow re-teaching it some new gear ratios would be new, however.
  15. I wonder if Koni will notice a difference in sales one way or another with full assemblies compared to the inserts.
  16. Since Oregon is full service at all gas stations, I get a comment here and there about my car. Last night, I had a gas station attendant ask if my car was a Legacy and he then commented that it looked real nice. When he started asking me if it was Legacy, I was actually expecting him to ask if it was a WRX instead. That seems to be the typical guess people have because hood scoop. So, I was actually pretty impressed he identified the car correctly.
  17. The Dampener is still easy enough to access, but it sounds like it'd be a great time to upgrade your front sway bar.
  18. That spoiler looks STIish. You could probably find STI spoiler and just install it. No clue about the bumper/diffuser. That looks like a drawing to me so it might not exist. If it exists, it's definitely a JDM part which would cost a pretty penny to ship if you live in the States.
  19. Yeah, New England's climate is just a lot different. You're pretty much guaranteed to get a few storms with 6+ inches of snow. Winter tires are necessary if you want to go anywhere in a snowstorm. Since moving out here, I haven't changed my summer tires once. I've thought about it a few times, though.
  20. I did this at Team O'Neil Rally School located in northern New Hampshire a few years ago when I was still living in New England. It was a great time. Of course, that area is almost guaranteed to see snow throughout the winter months. Make sure you have winter tires and not just no-seasons.
  21. I took a spin around the PIR this evening. My best lap speed was about 4 MPH, but I only did 1 lap. Also, I was in a minivan with my wife and 2 kids. Portland International Raceway is doing their Winter Wonderland event. They have holiday lights throughout the entire track. It's 20 bucks per car and my young ones loved it.
  22. RavSpec has some used Swift springs for 100 bucks. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1329596493746623&substory_index=0&id=466622560044025
