  1. I used that kit. If you're getting a replacement axle, get the boot kit as well. Then you can just reboot the axle at your leisure and swap it next time.
  2. I don't know how Subaru does their pulses, but all the injector is doing is turning on for x milliseconds, shutting off for x milliseconds. The tuning threads may have the injector duty cycle maps. I don't know if anyone has done this, but the basic logic would be to use the PWM functions to create say a 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% duty cycle. You would use the low voltage of the Arduino (5V on most common boards) to close a relay connected in between a 12V source and the injector +12V pin. As far as the code goes, you would just need to look up the PWM functions in the http://www.arduino.cc site. The duty cycles could be something like this: For simplicity sake, you wouldn't need to really use the PWM, just generate a digital high signal on one of the digital out pins to close the circuit and turn the relay on. 25%: on one second, off 3 seconds 50%: on two seconds, off two seconds 75%: on three seconds, off one second 100%: continuous on If you want to get fancy, you can use 4 momentary switches/buttons as inputs to trigger each of the four above duty cycles. If none are pressed, no flow. I think I'll do this project this summer when I pull my injectors out to do a bench test and cleaning. I figure at 140k miles it should probably be done with some of the good stuff. And I happen to have an IRTB from a Honda CBR in my basement. Maybe I can grab an injector off of it and have some fun with the relay board I have.
  3. I wouldn't call front license plates a tasteful mod, but I don't like Maryland (former resident). Looks nice! GLWS.
  4. If you want to get crafty, you can rig up a 12V source through a relay activated by an Arduino driving a PWM to run through the injector duty cycle. It's easy.
  5. Is the coil pack plug seated well? It could be making intermittent contact. I also had a misfire once where I found it to be the spark plug itself. Check for signs of cracking. If you ever dropped the spark plug while in the packaging, it could have initiated a microcrack, as in my case.
  6. Did the misfire go to cylinder 4? Take the plugs out of 2 and 4 and let them vent for a bit. It sounds like the injector could be stuck open. Pull the screen off of the injector and see if you can see any debris.
  7. Trying to figure out if robot or 3D printed poster...
  8. Have you tried the PET+ yet? I have a spool I'm itching to try. It's translucent though.
  9. You'd likely need to swap the rear differential and axles too if the gear ratios are different. The 5MT in the Legacy is not a weak transmission.
  10. Are the LGT and WRX transmissions the same? I didn't think they were. They do have different part numbers.
  11. Catless on wagon always pulled exhaust in from the rear. It's better now that I'm using the Grimmspeed catted downpipe. You can get a CNT for cheap or the best solution would be a top quality catless pipe with a GESI OBDII EPA registered high flow converter welded in.
  12. If you have Twitter, it is the fastest way to get this issue resolved. @fedexhelp worked for me.
  13. The engine sits lower and the firewall is the same. Therefore the geometry is not the same. The pitch mount sharing shouldn't matter too much. A thin piece of material is all it takes to carry the load it sees.
  14. Good setup. I prefer linear rails versus wheels, but CNC Router Parts makes good stuff. Chinese 2.2k spindles are typically very good.
  15. http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/ Use this site to look up the parts on the B13 and B12 and see if they are the same part number. I can't spend the time right now to look through it to find the door lock actuators.
  16. Did you check both visors? Is the passenger seat belt hitting the door? Just trying to think of other things that can be causing a rattle. Is anything rolling around in your cupholder or glovebox? I've had all of the above make rattling noises, just trying to offer easy checks.
  17. How does one back out of a Kickstarter? I predict that one will be behind schedule unless they already had a manufacturing plan in place (they're still doing prototypes...).
  18. Did you see the Flux 3D printer/scanner/engraver Kickstarter? I am curious to see if it lives up to the hype. I always have to ask if people using laser engravers are using eye protection. It seems like many people are oblivious to the inherent danger of lasers (and the possible unexpected laser reflection off of surfaces).
