Claw
i'm in canada you would like the receiver part way up your bumper? Oh, right.. Quebec. Yes.. right now I'm dragging my hitch over speedbumps. It was especially nerve wracking when I had a couple of bikes behind me; always wondering if I'm going to leave the bikes behind when I hit a speedbump. oldskoolbiker
yes i could do that easily. it would be the same price. How long until you'll be taking orders?
frank_ster
working on it, i'm thinking about shipping costs and such at the moment. and need to have some serious interest on this product. So far we have a few tire kickers Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
dvancleve
I am potentially interested. I have a "Hidden Hitch" which hangs really low, probably depends on total cost. My most likely use is for a bike rack rather than trailer... Thanks, Doug

dvancleve
I would prefer as high as possible with easiest install and least cutting of plastic. I would really prefer to not remove the rear bumper to install. I would just like something a lot higher than my not-so-Hidden Hitch. The receiver right under the bumper seems best to me... frank_ster
^ yes that is what i was going for. but there is demand for the higher type, for me personally the hitch high enough to be not the lowest thing is all that matters. frank_ster
to get the hitch off the ground the bumper would have to be slightly cut. there is no real simple way of getting around it. the hitch i am planning on you would have to remove the bumper cover, and that is a simple task. I Donated thefultonhow Posted April 23, 2013 I Donated Share Posted April 23, 2013 I'd just rather not cut a huge hole where it can be easily seen.
frank_ster
well looks like the demand is split .. best possible would be a hitch that i could make configurable for both desired options. let me see what i can figure out. KoukiS14
I'll buy one either way. I'd prefer not to cut the bumper plastic, but the cut in the first pic is super minimal, so I'm fine with it.
dvancleve
Agreed, minor cutting (ie. the bumper would still look okay with the hitch removed) isn't a big deal. I would really prefer not to remove the bumper/cover to install though... Doug I'll buy one either way. Claw
Looks like the new '14 Forester hitch is based loosely off the Oz designed one: http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forester/forester14-trailer-hitch3.jpg
I Donated thefultonhow Posted April 26, 2013 I Donated Share Posted April 26, 2013 I do like that design. Looks like it might be more expensive to produce, though...

Danteneon
The hitch becomes the bumper beam. All of the hitches for the new Subarus are like this. I like to cook my pets and my family. Use commas. Don't be a psycho.

nhltfour
would be interested in ordering a hitch here soon before summer fully arrives in colorado. I can PM you and we can talk over details but I wouldn't mind being the test rabbit on a few different hitches. cheers
Danteneon
so if you get off center rear ended your f'ed ? The hitch is just about the same width as the stock reinforcement. There really isn't any corner protection with the factory bar either. I like to cook my pets and my family. Use commas. Don't be a psycho.
