get camber plates to move the mounting perch. Vorschlag makes a nice ($$$) set. Much better solution than wheel spaces (hokey).

There's a reason I bought the BC Racing c/o. Came with camber plates built-in. :-)

I have the seems like now discontinued GTWorx camber plates, because they were cheaper. Would the Vorschlag's mounting be any better?

I never thought about plasti dipping my engine interior. Does plasti dip hold up to high temps?

Not sure! I thought its the same thing as plastidipping the hood. No major heat as its not a high-heat direct contact engine component.

Guess we'll see ;)

Yes it will, in some of the dip videos they explain it, so I'm not sure of the exact temp, but they dip the exhaust tips on cars, and it holds up great... I think there is even a video of them hitting it with a torch... ill go look for it.

Typical head guy can get up to 900Degrees i think, so i think it would hold up quite well... Would go and color my engine with it, but around it i think it would be just fine. Even the high head spray paint get discolored pretty quick with high heat.

Removed a few layers of tint from my tail lights, got them WAY too dark when I did them. I know them mind set with tint, but Meh, I hate the red. They are bright now, especially with LED bulbs in them. Just need to get a blinker resistor and LED bulbs for blinkers. Did a test with the G/F and even with direct sun light i can see them fine from a couple hundred yards back.

I wet sanded them down a ton, then remembered that I let my buddy borrow my corded drill, and my cordless sucks, and was dead. SOOO hand polishing it was, rubbing compound, then PlasticX, still have some little scratches even thought i used 1500gr.

Repaired the bumper, still need to wet sand and clear coat but it came out great! Long freaking project tho.

if you have plates, use them until the adjustment settings are not enough. I believe whitetiger or stoplightassasin or xenonk had/had the vorschlag plates. Ping them for their opinions. When I looked into them, the plates were $600.

like some other mods, they will boot you into another class, be sure to check the rules.

I showed the car to a mechanic buddy that races. He said shorter springs would be best. I have 8 inch, will probably go 6 inch sometime later. I don't feel like taking these off and putting them back on yet again right now. I'll pick up some wheel spacers for now.

Never got around to the suspension, spent that budget on the RS :D

That sounds like a solid plan, I wish I had an RS. Well don't be afraid to keep us posted on anything that will be going up when you know. ;)

Had the kids help me with a wash this morning. While I dried, waxed, and detailed, they were busy washing their wagon. They did a damn good job on both considering they are 3.5 and 2 years old; they were probably even more thorough on the wagon.

On another note, I'm proud to report that the head gasket replacement I did about +10k miles ago is holding strong and that car is running like a champ at 132k miles. Had some worries about warping and general mistakes since it was the first one I ever did. *knock on wood*

You'll need to change your struts, too. The shorter springs will make the ride much harsher for the road.

IDK what you're doing this weekend, however, I'll be at Bremerton on Saturday helping with Porsche Driver Skills. If you want to show up, I can run yours & mine thru the course and you can see the diff.
