Dispatch20
I have the template ready to print in a .doc file. I'll upload it when I get to my home! You can see the template I used a few post back in this post. Oh yeah, I see that now. Thanks for sending along the template! So this afternoon I decided to tackle the motor mounts. I did it on ramps (awful!) and left the headers attached (rusty bolts). I lifted the motor by the oil pan with a block of wood and a floor jack. Holy moly that was a huge pain! I'd rather do a timing belt. The motor mounts took me like 5 hours and it was only 6 bolts! I don't know if the 3rd gen Legacy is a lot harder than an Impreza for some reason, but I don't see how people are able to do this job easily. It took every trick I knew and a lot of different wrenches. The steering rack and subframe really block the rear motor mount bolts. (p.s. don't do motor mounts immediately AFTER undercoating with fluid film).

Dispatch20
Time to install the new arrivals! JDM sidemarkers and B4 mouldings for the sideskirts Enviado desde mi Nexus 5 mediante Tapatalk Do you have any pictures of the sideskirt moldings on your sedan? Are they what are commonly called "spats"?
Psycho_TwM
Do you have any pictures of the sideskirt moldings on your sedan? Are they what are commonly called "spats"? According to SubaruParts.com, it's called "rocker molding". Link: http://subaruparts.com/parts/2002/SUBARU/Legacy/GT?siteid=218240&vehicleid=919&diagram=7522475 Here's a photo with the side skirts installed. It took more clips than SubarParts said (I'm sure I saw another diagram with more clips, but I can't find it), and because there is no template, the most painful part was take the right measure to make the holes. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/10/5d5dfcae1aaaab30518ad88b1dbf0313.jpg

Zaldon
Started doing my lights on the car, didn't do it all today but over the past couple weeks as I got bulbs in. Just have the HVAC left to do on the interior so far. The lights are now LED, the picture does make them seem like they are overly bright, but they aren't that bad, I love how they look. Had some random guy compliment the interior lights haha. http://i64.tinypic.com/2hh18qf.jpg http://i66.tinypic.com/2usjrtl.jpghttp://i67.tinypic.com/6zas68.jpghttp://i66.tinypic.com/28u03r8.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/2rxg0hy.jpghttp://i68.tinypic.com/29pf7fa.jpg The Door http://i66.tinypic.com/16iduyv.jpg The Dome Light http://i68.tinypic.com/14o23p5.jpg The Map Lights http://i68.tinypic.com/1yalpg.jpg The Trunk Light http://i63.tinypic.com/2ivmz9c.jpg
Dispatch20
In an attempt to reduce the severe looseness & bounciness of my drivetrain, I installed a new tranny mount. Sometimes I can just let off the throttle and the drivingtrain starts bucking around. My order of repairs are: 1) New motor mounts - done 2) New tranny mount - done 3) New neutral switch - part in hand, need to install it 4) Rear diff bushing repair - need to research this more I should also probably look at the driveshaft center bearing, if I can figure out how to tell if it's bad or not. Zaldon
Do you have the part numbers? Map & Courtesy DE3175, this is also the one for the Dome, it's a 31mm bulb, I got a larger led pad for the Dome though. Just stay under 8 Watts for it and it'll work good. You'll need two for the doors (one on each side), two for the map lights (one for each) and one for the Dome. For the Trunk, Cluster, and License plate they all take a 194 bulb. One for the trunk, 4 for the cluster and two for the license plate. For the Lighter Ring, Keyhole Ring and PRND321 and the smaller dash displays (the two small screens) all take a 74 bulb. All of these just take one bulb, the dash screens obviously take one for each. The key ring will just need a slim wedge, if you get a regular one (like I had) just sanded it down a little to fit in. Dispatch20
Received two new front KYB struts and two new top hats off EBay. They were unused, open box from APX. Both struts were $60 shipped total ($25 for one, $35 for the other). Top hats were $55 shipped total ($27.50 ea). Good deal!http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/15/9e6c89ee150c1a8ddf03c216cac99d42.jpg One strut was the older "GR2" branding with silver paint. Must be 4 years old or older! Identical to the black ExcelG strut in every way except for color.
