IMO that is great idea to contact someone you know at SOA. You have a higher likelihood of getting better numbers rather than estimates. The ideal breakdown would be by year, color and option. Another issue with it only being available in a standard is that most dealers didn't stock the GT in inventory, so a buyer had search for one or blindly order them with out a test drive. Very good point. I would imagine that if there were models of the GT on most dealership's lots, more guys in my age bracket would have bought more.
