PutnamCO
About a year ago, just after installing a new clutch, I had a problem with my Spec pressure plate. One of the rivets came out, and it was making an awful sound. I pulled the tranny, sent it back to Spec, and installed the new one. The next day, I started my car after a long drive, and it sounded like a cold diesel. I was sure the noise was coming from the clutch area. I could not figure out what the noise was, so I pulled the transmission and found that I had completely forgotten to tighten the flywheel bolts, and they were basically just rattling around, unthreaded. I think I went to get the torque wrench, got distracted, and didn't remember. Idiot! On the plus side, after taking out and putting my transmission back in 3 times in a week and a half, I can do it very quickly now! I was sooooo pissed at the time though.
