Got my breaks done the front needed new calipers lol but also got some free wheel spacers!!!

Looking Good! :) Are those WRX brakes? I like how you painted the bracket red and the calipers silver. I'll have to do this on my second gen when I do a brake swap soon.

Cool! I have a spare set of SS calipers that I am going to throw on the second gen. I will have to rebuild them and paint them. They are really nice brakes, actually. Way better than the crappy L brakes I have on the wagon. When I drive the SS and I can actually stop in a hurry.

Replaced my 21 y/o cracked OEM radiator with a Koyo one I got for free. Supposedly the Koyo's crack around the endtanks, so I'm on the lookout for a good condition oem one (91-94 SS or 1st gen turbo Impreza radiator)

I have a 93 legacy FWD with a 2.2 block with 1.8 heads. 05 wrx black seats, strut tower bar cone air filter, 05 wrx rims, one step below HID head lights. So my next step is to see if i can swap out the stock maf sensor with one off a wrx. Is it possable to do it?

I found the source of one of my coolant leaks. The coolant hose to the turbo is leaking onto my exhaust manifold and stinks like hell. I will have to get an OEM one because of the tight bends.

Hey sheppy, why did you swap on 1.8 heads? That sound interesting. Post pics of your leggy.

Lower compresion and Its what I have. Two 2.2's and two 1.8's So I did the research and found out if it would work. Seems to give more torque and it excells super quick now. I want to do a 2.5 block with 2.2 heads. but i need the 2.5.... I also swapped out the injectors. 180cc to 250cc. noticed the gas milage drop and only running premuim now.

you will have to get a special braket for the rear i think kartboy carries them?

And you'll have to get the brackets for

the 05 WRX front calipers too. You can

just use the stock WRX ones. Do you have

ABS or not? If you dont the master cylinder

will probably need to be changed out to

accomodate the extra fluid you'll need.

I replaced a bunch of parts today: turbo inlet and outlet coolant lines after draining the radiator, inhibitor switch, rerouted the vacuum lines to the purge control solenoid valve as well as moving and replacing the solenoid to the top of the intake manifold for easier access, replaced the air intake to the throttle body (old intake was cracked).

I replaced all PVC lines on the F-tube, removed the downpipe and turbo to gain access to things, removed and installed a replacement inhibitor switch on the transmission, re-installed the downpipe and turbo and reconnected everything.

I drained the oil and sanded around the oil plug, cleaned it with acetone, and applied JB weld to the hairline crack around the oil plug in an attempt to stop an annoying oil leak, and purchased a new crush washer and oil plug. I'm letting the JB weld cure overnight before I fill it back up with oil.

It was a long day, but I got a lot done. :)

Tomorrow I will replace the two coolant lines off the water pump, fill it back up with 10w-40, new coolant, reset the ECU, fix a problem with the coaxials and tweeters in the front, and see if she runs good with no CELs.

Fixed the Powersteering line leak I had in the high pressure line after install of new rack. Also got the twist tie bracket back on to hold O2 sensor lead away from the axle.

Might get some photos up later.

All I need now is a hill holder and a center passing light...

I installed the two coolant lines and filled it back up with coolant and oil. No more oil leaks! The JB weld worked perfectly.

I installed the inhibitor switch wrong so I had to take the downpipe off again to gain access and adjust it. It isn't throwing a CEL anymore, but I might need to adjust it again.

My replacement evap purge solenoid valve was bad (got it of an old leggy) so I replaced it with a new one from the dealership ($113). No more CEL 35. :)

I am finally running full boost. My old cracked air intake was the source of all my misfiring and hesitation issues. Before it would barely take off from a stop, now it zips once it gets up to 10 mph. The turbo is a lot louder and sounds pretty nice. It has a lot more power and gets going really fast really quick. I'm pretty stoked. The SS is finally running like it should. It romps!!! I gave it back to my wife. :( But she missed it the past few days and she is going to love it even more.

I was losing about a quart of coolant a day and 1/4 pint of oil every day. Glad to have stopped that BS.

I installed new OSRAM cool blue headlight bulbs as well.

Here is a pic of all the old bits I replaced.

Glad that intake did the trick, monkey. I am on day thirty something of my super sleeper build fwd legacy L to awd SS drivetrain. After a couple weeks of swapping interior, pulling and painting dashboard and running the wires for my standalone ems, trunk mounted optima battery, and installing my infinity reference component speakers f/r w/12ga wire. I am a journeyman wireman so i overbuild my electrical where it counts. Dual4ga wires run to the rear battery, 3 distribution blocks distribute power to starter, fuseboxes, and everything else. Id like to get one giant block but couldnt find one in my price range. Also had to swap tinted door windows, motors all the felt pads and door trim from my SS.I also created a power distribution center where the stock battery was it has a seperate fuse box that supplies power to my injectors, coilpacks, fans and power seat and HID kit. Finally getting to the fun stuff, installing the fmic. This being my second go at a fmic install I am doing it the best way IMO. The first fmic install is the pic used in my avatar. I will be installing it upside down with the inlet/outlet on the top and be routing the piping right under the headlights. This will eliminate at least 20 inches of piping that I had before with the piping going through the fender.today i got the bumper and support off, fender linings out as i will be rolling my fenders to get lgt wheels on while being lowered with adj coilovers. I will post pics when I get the intercooler mounted up. Edited by USLiberty

Work in progress, still pretty rough but its getting there. With the ksport coilovers, SS 15" wheels and 40 series tire she is slammed pretty low. The 17" LGT wheels will make it somewhat driveable for our mountain town, Attempted to install my FMIC with the inlets on top but ran into the problem you see in the last pic, I need my IC about 2" higher than it is in the pic and that would require deleting my AC condensor and making brackets to hold the headlights along with a lot more fabrication. I wont do that cause I live in AZ and driving down to PHX in the summer with no AC is like going to hell and back with a hot air dryer blowing in your face. "Its a dry heat" they say. Anyways Im going to settle with the IC in/outlets bottom mounted then turning up where the battery used to be and where the ABS usually is. I spent the rest of the day carving my bumper support to accomidate, went through 3-4" angle grinder blades. Ill have to get one more to finish the bumper tomorrow.

I got a little happy with the cutting wheel today >=-P I will have to cut the headlight bracket, but Im pretty happy with the results One picture is the piping left over from the last install. Funny with so much piping from the last install. I was getting full boost by 3400-3600 and keeping it up to 7400rev limit on the last install. Now I have ported ex manifolds and lightweight flywheel, so spool up should improve. Cant wait to get a bigger ball bearing turbo with a rotated housing, but everything else first. Tomorrow I will clean all the piping then install t-clamps. Im Thinking about installing the air filter in the fender or just fabricating a airbox out of sheet aluminum.

Thanks, you should like it now then. I painted the visible IC piping with a rubberized undercoat from duplicolor. It is nearly invisible now. I also rolled the front fenders so my 17's will fit. I backed each car into each other so I can prepare to swap the rear crossmember/suspension.
