Scooter
My company makes a few; the 2690 is my favorite. http://www.pelican.com/lights_detail.php?recordID=2690 [ame=http://www.amazon.com/2690-HeadsUp-Lite-LED-Flashlight/dp/B0029LWTMK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1320602350&sr=8-4]Amazon.com: #2690C Pelican HeadsUp LED Flashlight: Sports & Outdoors[/ame] Not the most comfortable, maybe, but it sure is bright - good for outdoors stuff. subi_snipe223
Piggybacking on your thread fish, mine was a dud. i'm looking for a "nightstick" style LED light that i can hang under the hood or crawl under the car with. I'd like to be able to plug it in to charge then unplug it for use. It definitely needs to be able to take a beating too. The brand doesn't matter as long as its BRIGHT. Does anybody know a good one? fishbone
Amazon has the TerraLUX Lightstar-220 on sale for $24.94. They say it usually goes for $50. Not a bad price for a 220 lumen flashlight [ame=http://www.amazon.com/TerraLUX-TLF-3C2AAEX-LightStar220-Aluminum-Flashlight/dp/B001IMCU66/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1321489795&sr=1-7]Amazon.com: TerraLUX TLF-3C2AAEX LightStar220 3-Watt LED Aluminum Flashlight: Home Improvement[/ame] LE: I got my hands on a Pelican 1920 and I gotta say it's a great flashlight [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-1920-LED-Flashlight-Black/dp/B005OLYVS2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321490875&sr=8-1]Amazon.com: Pelican 1920 LED Flashlight, Black: Home Improvement[/ame]

TSiWRX
Looking for a good priced flashlight that reaches at least at 200 meters. Any recommendations? I got the Fenix LD40 on the list. If you can wait for the slow boat, the el-cheapo DealExtreme Cree drop-ins for the Surefire G-series body (to keep costs down; alternatively, buying a used P-series on-the-cheap is also quite possible) are really impressive, for the money. There's some artifact and the color isn't as great, but it easily out-throws my Z2S-LED. Even so, I don't think it'll reach 200 meters+....and for that matter, I honestly have doubts that the LD40 will, either. I think you'd be better off with the TK41 (and similar large-reflector throw-specialists), but I don't know if that's what you would consider "good priced." Have a look, here: http://www.lygte-info.dk/review/Beamshot%20Multiple-CR123-AA%20lights%202010-10%20UK.html Using the SureFire E2D-LED as a known-reference (since this is the one that most people are likely to be familiar with, given that the KX2C head appears both on the handheld E2D-LED as well as on their Scout-series weaponlights), you can see how that light's beam-shot at 100 meters is very similar to the LD40 at that distance....and both of those out-throw the DealExtreme el-cheapo that I cite above. Honestly, if you want something with that much throw, you're probably better off playing with something like the end-user customizable Dereelight, or going with a specialty item like the LED Lenser. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
SuperhawkLGT
The led lenser unit deems pretty impressive to me, just wish it was thinner for carrying on a belt.

Schrei Wolf
So my Streamlight PT1AA died last week and I ended up replacing it with a Maratac AAA Rev 2. High is 115 lumen @ 65 minutes, Low is 1.5 lumen @ 50 hrs on a standard AAA. My friend has been running lithium AAAs and it runs much longer. I plan on picked up 2 delrin battery lockers to hold an extras: one in my car, and the other in my field pack. http://countycomm.com/aaa.html http://countycomm.com/batterylockeraaa.html I did sumble upon the Thrunite TI, it's a AAA keychain flashlight starting a 3 lumen going up 60 lumen just by tightening it. https://illuminationsupply.com/ti-black-p-95.html?zenid=e22b7b411b12e5c41a8ab5046906371e

Bolksey85
I am far from being as hardcore as you guys are but some time ago I finally got around to tossing a decent quality light in my glove box. Streamlight PT 2L Small, easy to carry and hold, and bright enough for whatever I will ever need it for.
