I think I'm going to buy my first auto this week. Thinking Tissot or hamilton (willing to consider other recs too). $400-500 ish is my budget.

I'd save a little more and get the Tissot prs516 chrono auto. Has a Valjoux 7750 which is the same movement in some $4,000+ watches

I love my Eco-Drive

Fully automatic with their perpetual calendar is right in that price range. Never have to adjust the date for months with less than 31 days, and knows when it's a leap year!

2016 Outback 2.5i Premium w/Eyesight

I just picked up a Citizen World Time (AT8010):

For the price it beat out all the competition for options - Eco-Drive with Perpetual Date seems cool... and no bad reviews - a great daily for cheap - Perfect!!!

I'm also not a fan of metal bands - but this one is growing on me - will also pick up a Nato or Kevlar Strap as well...

Ordered a bracelet for my g-shock. I was never a fan of bracelets, but I really like how this looks/feels. Had to order it from the UK, so it was a long month of waiting.

Great looking watch, on Amazon.com looks like it is around $400. Not the cheapest watch but tons of functions. Where did you buy it?

I found a used one at WatchUSeek.com (from a seller in CT even...) They are not in that high demand so it was a nice discount:p

So far it's been great - I'm working on deciding new band/strap options:cool:

Is it bullet proof so you can use it as a shield in a gunfight?

How about quick bracelet removal so you throw it at people?

If you didn't get those options - you overpaid:spin:

It doubles as Captain Americas shield per the manual.

That giant watch / clock reminds me of the time I saw Flava Flav in a Detroit casino. He had a whole crew with him and was being following around by a flock of staff. He must have felt like how a real celebrity feels in Vegas.
