mtnbiker3000
Hmmm. I dunno. I stick the key in and it won't engage the adjustment fitting at all. I can spin the key around with it sitting flush with the body and nothin'

GTEASER
You can get a new one from Koni, they should send it to you free of charge. I will see if I have the contact info still. I no longer have the direct contact info of the guy that assisted me, but I sent an email here and had an almost immediate response back that gave me the number of the guy to call. 4 days later I had replacement bolts for $0. http://konimarket.com/pages/contact GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold

m sprank
I know the adjusters that are sent with the Konis work. Both of our shops have probably installed countless sets. So, it had to be something different about his car. You would have thought of it.
mtnbiker3000
So after my install of Koni yellows with Tein H springs, my right rear is sitting about an inch higher than the left rear. I know for a FACT that the lower perch is not on upside down on either side. But I know the orientation was different as far as which direction the perches were facing. Did I screw this up?? Can't think of what else it could be??
m sprank
Normally this is because one of the lower spring seats is installed upside down.
famaya26
Driving today through a street full of dips I noticed that for every dip I could hear a noise coming from the front. Like rubbing, not loud but noticeable. Could it be because the car Is lower? Konis on H-Techs
m sprank
Could be. Best to take a look and see if anything shows signs of rubbing.

famaya26
What torque lbs was I supposed to use on the bolts connecting to the Strut to the Hub/Rotor? I did 45lbs but I think I misread information. I'm gonna lift it and take off the wheels, Apparently it's 110lbs. mtnbiker3000
Normally this is because one of the lower spring seats is installed upside down. I know... but I double checked each side before installing, and I'm positive each side is correct. Could it be the orientation of the perch on the strut body? In other words the coil end on one side was facing the outside of the car and on the other it was facing the inside??

compsurge
Get a new stud. I replaced the entire wheel bearing assembly in mine, when I had severe rusting of my studs. In retrospect, I could have saved $130 and just bought new studs at NAPA.

Direction it faces means nothing. Bottom of the perch is bottom. Spin it all you want and the lowest point remains the same. I can think of a few different scenarios to cause this. But most involve missing parts or incorrect install. Have a pic?

Don't think I forgot anything, especially on the rears. There wasn't too many pieces to begin with. The only thing I can think of is that when the assemblies were complete, the top isolator rubber was kind of molded to the old springs and when the new ones went on, they didn't mold as nicely since they are a different shape. So, the tophats were kind of at an angle due to this. I'm thinking the completed assemblies went in with the tophats at opposing angles. But, wouldn't that eventually settle once the rubber molds to the new springs?
m sprank
If it is that bad, you need new rear rubber upper isolaters. Also, I have never had the new spring not be able to seat in to the old springs "groove". The rubber is a separate piece from the top hat and can be rotated independantly.
