The Official Aftermarket Wheels Thread

For reference, this is mine. 20x9.5+38 245/35/20 all around. Top is front and bottom is rear. Given that you're doing 265's, it's a hard fit.:spin:

Thanks for the reference. You see how it is out a bit in front and on 245's.

I did a test fit with 255's 9.5 +40. A 245 would have fit better.

255 is the min I want to go. I had 245's and they weren't enough. But, that was on a 17x8 wheel and maybe I didn't have a wide enough wheel...dunno:iam:

Has anyone seen the youtube video of the 2015 WRX concept? Do those wheels not look exactly like the SSR GT V03 pic I posted earlier?

I like the RE a lot. But, I don't think that is an RE. Which BBS wheel is it?

offset might be too high to clear struts...

I know ppl running 9 +42 was close already

I was thinking worst case 5mm hubcentric spacers with nuts that thin down and go past the wheel holes.

The other option is +35 and that is going to stick out too much.

Hanger: Were you running 18's? What tires size and profile?

I ran a 245/45/18 on a gtc01 no problem

^^^ on a 17x9, I'd run a 255/50 or a 245/45. I'd have a bit more sidewall for cushion.

Thanks for the pic and advice.

You'll get answers on both sides of the fence. But, if you do them, they should be hub-centric and from a reputable manufacturer.

I had 5mm spacers for like a week....then when I realized how much thread my lug nut was actually holding onto, I removed them

That's what I wanted to know. I'm iffy about it...so, I wanted to see the consensus on it.
