EL PAALO Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 the only website I'd trust about fitment is tirerack (and they're a little conservative, but they won't screw you 99% of the time). most sites are extremely generic and haven't actually test fit anything. if you don't mind wheels sticking out, trust sales sites. if you want them to fit correctly, figure out the specifics yourself and then find a place that sells the wheel you want with the specific sizing you need. I trust tirerack as well but I have a problem with them suggesting a 215/45/17 tire on a 17 x 8 rim. A 215 width tire on a 8" rim is really stretching it. I actually had to call a TireRack operator (Matt) to confirm what they "recommended" (besides what they posted) to fit my 17x8 wheels. It dawned on me after seeing them post the same tire size for a 17x7, 17x7.5 AND 17x8 wheel. So I cross check with DiscountTireDirect.com (and their operators).
