You don't have to go "lower profile" as the tires are already low profile to start with. Your profile will be determined by the width of the tire you want... The 18's are hotter, but you gotta go to a slightly lower profile. Ride comfort is definitely sacrificed a bit. Not gi-normously different, but def noticeable.
