Nrw
There's a group of guys that show up friday nights at the gym I go to that look just like that, Octane lol. Super set lat pull downs, bicep bro curls and sitting in the tanning bed. And I'm not even joking.

MiniStiGuy
I'd love to learn some form of self defense other than take the hits and hit back harder. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
octain11
you can always invest in a rape whistle! you will find a lot gyms and mma places offering those kind of classes, just be aware they are incredibly over priced (some dojos charge up to $180 for 5 classes, and well over $200 a month) and they teach you a fraction of the things there is to self defense. I got lucky, one of my friends opened up a dojo during the summer, I helped him through out the entire process, set up then network servers and wifi for him, in return i get free membership for life , one of the guys who comes to the gym is an ex russian special ops, he teaches the hand to hand, self defense, and knife fighting classes. Learned a lot from him
jasejase
Oh stop whining old man and get back on the mats!!! Running leaves me in enough pain! Plus, if i went back to jiu jitsu, i wouldnt really be able to run as much as i would like. I have time constraints. whipper snapper.
FJuan
I hate running, but I do it to stay in shape for all the mud runs. So far, I have 4 events planned this year. My wife's balls are delicious.
MiniStiGuy
I don't really have any plans for runs this year but I'd like to do the mud runs and tough mudders and any other 5k that comes to town. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

FJuan
Back in my day, I did a lot of triathlons and I would always dread the run at the end. I enjoyed the 1 mile swims and the 24+ mile bike rides. My wife's balls are delicious.

spc2125
So running is the best way to loose weight for an oversize person... besides eating right. Well it seems to be the easiest way... instead of paying a trainer to teach him/her different excersize, correct?
jasejase
Typically, it's the easiest way to lose weight. Coupled with dietary changes. It's cheap. Convenient. And will also tone your core a bit....
TRSCobra
The problem with running for overweight people (depending on exactly how overweight) is the stress it places on the joints and bones of the lower body. For obese people, starting out with a walk or elliptical may be a better idea, since they are lower impact. Jumping head-on into any new exercise is a sure recipe for injury.
