Sorry for the hijack, but a quick tip for those who've not yet started. :)

If you have access to a spot which is under your control, you can use some tape to mark off EXACTLY where your car's tires are sitting, as well as the EXACT cut-off of your headlight beams. Establishing both points of reference is vital, as is the critical step of making sure that your vehicle's burden in every other aspect is identical ( i.e. don't decide to take the keg in the trunk back to the store between the time you've marked off the cut-offs and the time you finish the mod ;) )

This is, of course, assuming you still have your original conventional lights within factory specs for aim.

;)

what about the high beams? is the left high beam supposed to be lower than the right or leveled?

thanx much,

The high beams should be on the same level, a bit higher than the low beams.

Day Time Running Lights... Help!

I've set everything up proper... I think! Lights come on (look good too) but when I release the Parking Brake with the lights off I've got like a raver style strobe light??? I thought that the built in relay took care of the DRLs? Did you guys disconect your DRLs some other place too? I had to do so in my WRX.

Thanks!

Mark

I got this same thing today as well. The other day, they didn't come on at all with the lights turned off. Now, the strobe effect. Need to do the DRL disable....or just leave the lights on all the time. I don't like that idea much.

I love them - look OEM, not rice (In my opinion of course).

Not yet....car is at the dealer to check the pull to the right I have had since new six months and 10Kmiles ago. I have a pimp 2.5i 4eat wagon to drive in the meantime. :D

I will do the DRL disable tomorrow night (I hope). I told the dealer about the lights....didn't want them fooling with it if they noticed the flutter after they turn the lights off (I am leaving them on like I did prior to the HID's).

mine also tends to pull to the left since day 1, need to get it checked soon.

good luck. someone told his dealer not to change the tire pressures but you know what happened...:D

[crossedfingers]

I rode with the master tech last week....he agreed it pulls. I explained that I checked the tire pressures that morning and all were at 34psi. I have had three sets of wheels on the car since new.....it consistently drifts right. The service writer told me they put it on the rack during service stop #1 in December and it checked out. We'll see what they say - I have AVO rear endlinks and AVO bushings F & R. I spoke to the tech about the mods and he agreed with me they are not a concern re: drift.

Thanks! I've got some Defi free-angle mounts and visors coming soon (from pszydlik)... I'm gonna try different spots and see what looks best, but the temp spot has grown on me! But tonight I'm setting up the HU? ;)

Anyone else get there HIDs yet? ? ?
