Heavily Modded 07 Spec B

Recommended Posts

It's at the fab shop finally getting all the FMIC piping and DP done. Hoping to drive down within the next month and pick her up! You found any 06 spec B's in the area yet? We really need to find one for our evolution shoot...

Dude, I haven't even spotted a single Legacy and that includes all years and models on the road yet and I've been living in Texas 5 months already. I know they exist though because I saw that white GT at AWD Tuning when you dropped your car off and Mary has that 09 Spec B. I've been trying to make it out to a meet or show but works been crazy so I haven't been able to yet. Cobb Tuning has a first Thursday meet tomorrow so if I'm able to go I will ask them if they know anyone who owns one.

If worse comes to worst we can use my 06 Sti for the shoot and photoshop it.

I'd be happy to include my 06 spec.B in the "evolution" shoots - but you guys being ready in a month or less kills it for me :p I'm deep into my JDM conversion and it won't be painted in time.

If it was finished in time would you be willing to drive down to Texas for a photoshoot? :iam:

Been driving the Sti for over a week now and I love it but the motor's got some issues so I'm going to have it built. The car is pretty much stock except for an HKS exhaust, Turbo Smart boost gauge, HID's, and upgraded rotors.

So here's what's about to be done:

AWD Tuning Stage Two – 500whp/500wtq Block with

-New OEM Subaru case halves

-New Nitride coated crankshaft

-Fresh hone

-ACL Race bearings

-JE FSR/JE Hybrid or Arias custom pistons

-Manley H-Beam rods

Blouch 18G Turbo

GM Turbo Inlet Hose

Exedy Heavy Duty Stage 1 Clutch

CNT Catless Downpipe

AEM Intake

Keep in mind this is my daily driver so it's not going to be as crazy as my Legacy. My goal is to have a car that's easy/fun to drive, reliable, and has a decent amount of power.

New car looks great. But why have a built motor in your daily? Have you thought about building that motor, then swapping the engines between the two cars?

Beautiful cars though, definitely an inspiration.

The motor in my Sti has bad compression and needs to be rebuilt or replaced. I have thought about swapping the motors once the Sti motor is finished but decided not to because eventually I'm going to build the Legacy motor too.

  • 1 month later...

Got all my parts for the Sti except the Process West Cold Air Intake which is on back order and dropped the car off at AWDTuning today for the engine build. Car should be done by the time I get back from Japan in July.

Going to be putting my Legacy up for sale soon but will be going back to stock first. Most of the aftermarket parts have already been purchased by a local shop for their race car or will be swapped over to my Sti but some stuff will be left over and will be going up for sale sometime within the next few weeks. My parts list is located in post 1 of this thread for anyone interested.

Also a shame to see such a crazy build parted out. That said, interested in the radiator if it ends up being for sale.
