KartRacerBoy
Way to go DoD. Thank heaven you are smart guys protecting our nation. Common sense anyone? Think the nation might be a little hypersenstive about low flying airliners around NYC, especially when a jet fighter is on its tail? Nah! It's a photo-op! NHLEG
Could you imagine had it been the Bush White House doing this? How many beyond stupid things can happen on Barry's watch and not get the criticism they deserve? And it's only been 100 days! Learnig curve? They don't make one that steep! Knight705
good excuse to not work? i'm sure some of those in the higher towers saw the plane as air force one. i mean its pretty obvious in the paint scheme.
Jerboa113
boy what a blunder.. I want to know whos idea this was.. I'd also like to know why the fire and police depts didnt think this was important to inform bloomberg and therefore the media about to let people know about it.. you know in augusta whenever they were doing high speed passes (I dunno why they would do that..) with planes they would tell us on the news the night before.. so if your windows were broken or your child's head exploded.. at least you knew it was a sonic boom and not a random explosion.. Penguin
Yer right, but you gotta wonder how no one at any level of the process stopped to think, "hey, is this a dumb idea?" They probably did, but the military being obedient followed the stupid orders from the Commander in Chief and his people. Obama and his folks clearly thought it was a great idea until it pissed everyone off. Ironic the uproar over executives flying into DC wasting money on private jets, yet here is the Obama having even more money spent for a damn photo op. Of course I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this idiot behavior. Not only a stupid waste of tax payer money, but also a monumentally stupid and insensitive decision where it concerns New York. Frankly, I think the military should've been the ones to point out the idiocy of this photo op without some big annoucement b4 it happened. I know you like to rip Obama at any chance, but you'd have more credibility if you put thought into it first. This isn't one of those times. So when stupid shit happens the guys at the top take the blame too. Obama is at the top, and even though he may have been unaware of the idiocy going on he hasn't managed to pick staffers that would look at that plan and say no. As an amusing aside the the operation for pictures cost $328,000 for the flight time. Brilliant. Haven't these stupid wasteful fuckheads ever heard of photo editing? Jerboa113
you would think they could have just Photoshopped it wait this is the same people who gave the queen a DVD that you can't play in europe. agreed.. this seriously makes me wonder if this wasn't a "photo op" at all but perhaps some kind of incident that they want to not disclose. I mean.. obviously with Obama and pepsi working together to make their new logo (seriously.. look at the pepsi logo.. it looks just like obama's logo..) you would think they would have some mad photoshop skillz and could take a picture of the plane in a hangar from a lift and shop it flying above NYC. what the hell promotion does the administration need with this anyway? is this some kind of promotion for the airforce? what would the slogan be? "join the airforce.. so you can escort a rich fat cat around in a private 747 consuming thousands of gallons of fuel." I just dont understand this whole thing.. sure, the president may have not known about this, thats understandable, but who the hell did? and wtf were they thinking?? How can this idiot bash GM for flying their little gulf stream, then we fliy a third of a million dollar AF1 trip without even having the executive on board!! All for a photo-op that could have been accomplsihed WITH PHOTOSHOP. THEN, Barry LIED saying he didn't know about it, WHEN HE HAD TO PERSONALLY SIGN THE AUTHORIZATION FOR AF1 TO FLY.
