Removing weight for better handling and performance

You don't want to remove the underbody tray. there were posts on here that removal of it actually made air low bad through the intercooler. air actually passed out through the hood scoop instead of into it. Besides, how much does it weigh? 1.5 pounds? there are other parts to replace than that.

Change the front brake calipers to the Wilwood kit. The Wilwood calipers are less than 5 lbs a piece the stockers are about 15 lbs. They fit under stock wheels and are much better than the stockers as far as pedal feel and quickness of engaging.

I was thinking about this today and, for a bunch of reasons, I thought that it would be pretty slick if a local vendor (looking at you R-Rev :lol:)would make some carbon fiber front fenders modeled after the S402. I wonder what kind of weight savings we could see with a set of those puppies. Even if it's a small amount at least it helps the F/R weight distribution.

 

How much do you think a set of those would go for?
