ultimakf7
Bonehead Performance does some great work. My friend has gone there many times, and they really do a good job at powdercoating. http://www.boneheadperformance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc That's where I plan to take my wheels to get powdercoated. Mark34
Dang, I got some wheels I'm trying to sell but the clear coat got some contamination and that would eat almost any money I could make on them... I still might take a trip and see if they have have any different options.

Mark34
What did who do? I have stockers, but I would have to sell them or trade for another set of 17s for the winter.
ultimakf7
Try using Klasse AIO on your wheels.. they clean up the wheel real well after some elbow grease.
Mark34
I think it's some moisture, probably from being stored in my basement, got in underneath the clear coat on the machined lip part. I tried polishing it with my dremel, but it had no effect. When I hit it with the small wire brush, it came off, with the clear.
ultimakf7
Ouch. Never use the wire brush on anything coated or painted.
hessticle
Cherokee Choppers in South Jersey does a very good job powder coating car and motorcycle parts. I used to use them all the time for my bike parts. Here is their http://cherokeechopperworks.com/
Mark34
It was that little wire wheel that comes as a Dremel accessory. I only tried it in a very small area, so it's not bad. I'm lookin for a good way to get that clear off to eliminate the contamination and then re-clear it.
