Infamous1
I'm sure they have on a generous dyno and 93 octane. They won't see that much on 91 octane. On 91 octane about 300-310 whp it what I would expect to see since that is what most 18g's end up with. The stock turbo with just about all the bolt-ons available is good for about 275-280whp on 91 octane. 93oct and a dynomite
Boostjunkie
93oct and a dynomite I know Just saying that you won't see better than 18g numbers, and likely a bit worse since the compressor wheel is not in its' native cover and is a bit less efficient as such. I still like the 40BB for guys wanting a small upgrade, but everyone knows that I'm usually not a fan of small upgrade turbos. The majority of guys who don't go at least 20g or bigger end up swapping to something bigger down the line. Why spend the money twice?
Infamous1
40BB is big money too...
Boostjunkie
40BB is big money too... Early on when it was $900 or so it was a decent option. For the $1500-1600 they want for one now, I'd definately pass. You can buy an FMIC and an FP18g for that price (hell, a lot less if you get the X02 FMIC )
SnowBound BP5
93oct and a dynomite How about bootlegged none-ACN out of state gas + some Rock Star? Would that work too?

Infamous1
I^^^ Its a long story but basically they use to be able to get the ball bearing CHRA from the vf22 all by itself but now they have to purchase the complete turbo to do the transformation. SnowBound BP5
well, at least the Speed3 is consistent between pulls! just gotta remember to always shift at 5,750 rpms! http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/BOXRPWR/Yimi/KevinGiesyCobbSRI.jpg Those are some nice numbers you put down. SnowBound BP5
That's all? Just an aftermarket top mount intercooler? Isn't the claimed crank something like 260-ish?
