SubieDriver
I can see #2 happening. I think too many people didn't know the difference between the Outback and Legacy wagons, or didn't see them as different enough - maybe hitting the same market segment. With a larger distinction, it should draw more people in.
ArcTec34
sigh, i dont want a 7 passenger legacy/outback.. then itll be too much of a station wagon instead of a sleeper. ;-)
Guest
Outback = 7 passenger, bigger Legacy = 5 passenger, smaller I like the idea. It's time that Outback GTFO of Legacy line.

DukeTrout
Yeah, that's right. He mentioned "bigger Legacy" so that was confusing. But, yeah apparently some enhancements for MY2009 in Septemeber, and new model for MY2010 in 2009. Also it seems confirmed that new Outback will be based on Exiga, which I like on two counts: 1. Seven passenger (I hope) car-based Subaru 2. Chance for return of Legacy wagon I am not setting my hopes high for (2) but still. That would be nice. Right now, we'd be looking at an Odyssey to replace the OBXT (actually, I'd keep it as a ski/fishing car). If the new Outback had 7-passenger capacity, then it would be back in the running. Diesel would be nice, too. Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!

Why? The Legacy GT Spec.B is more expensive than the LGT but it does not offer better performance. Legacy GT STI might be a good idea... The 2010 Legacy will be A6 sized with a 3.6L ~300hp engine 6mt or CVT option and an upgraded engine 3.6Lturbo ~375hp 6mt or CVT option. camber
The Legacy going A6 sized would be horrible a idea. The Legacy is a good size as it stands. I have no problem with Subaru putting a sedan above the Legacy though. I doubt will be getting a 3.6L turbo engine but we can dream. If a 3.6L turbo engine were coming our way, we would have had more concrete evidence by now.
Buru
true, but if it happened we could really scare some vettes and new M3's
SubieDriver
Yeah, we gotta keep up. My GT, at Stage II, has a very slight edge on the current M3 in acceleration runs, but the newest M3 with the V8 is out of reach. An LSTI with a 3.6 turbo would be back in the fight. Guest heightsgtltd
keep up? SOA has no interest in keeping up with anything from the factory. We have less HP and Tq than the P***y magent Toyota Camry

camber
^^ Well... If your akready modding you could just a swap out the turbo. EX. AVO380 or 420 should be enough to but the pesky new M3 behind. Just go GT35R and skip the M3s:lol:
