Clay Lube on Intercooler

2006Specb122

Recommended Posts

I think I might have sprayed some clay lube on my intercooler.

I heard that soap was bad for it but not life threatening.

How about clay lube?

Should I have it inspected?

rinse it off

other than that, don't worry.

What is clay lube anyway? Is that like KY?

Clay lube is a spray that you use when claying the car... see clay bar ....

It pulls out stuff from your paint...instead of waxing and rubbing things into your paint... :)

I just wasn't being careful enough and got a couple squirts into the intercooler area....quickly hosed down....

I'm hoping it's going to be ok...

Can't clay the intercooler without lube. A clean intercooler is an efficient intercooler. I do it all the time.

Pillboy,

That is a refreshing thing to hear you say.

You clay your intercooler?

If that's the case then getting a little lube on my intercooler is OK.

Thank you!

I had not thought about possibly claying it....

I will try it later today...
